Running out of money?
« on: June 02, 2012, 02:50:34 PM »
Okay, so, this is something I've always been curious about and cant seem to find an answer to anywhere. I looked, but didn't find, though I do apologize if it's been asked.

I think it's unlikely for this to happen in a practical situation, but what would happen of your sim ran out of cash and ran out of buy mode objects to be repo-ed? Obviously in most cases, you get a job and earn at least a few simoleons way before that happened, but again for the sake of curiosity, does the repo man start taking walls and flooring? Would you lose your house? Or does the game try to prevent this by telling you to get a job, give you some small inheritance from a relative, etc?

Just wondering :)

The bills you get are based on the value of the lot, so when there's nothing left to repo, I'd guess your bills would also be 0 but I've never done it before.

Well, I was wondering this as well so I've decided to test it out in the game one day and the answer is simple: as soon as the repo can't take anymore stuff from you (note he will always leave the fridge alone) he simply will go.
Your sims can not have depts. No red numbers on your cass acount. What you don't have, can not be taken. Simple as that. He also won't go back when you will have the money later either.

Oh, and welcome to the forum Zac. ;)

Interesting information, who knew! Well I guess you did. And thanks for the welcome, though I've been here quite a while now... It's just now I've decided to finally start posting with a bit more frequency. The welcome (and answer!) is much appreciated nonetheless. :D
