So many vampires!

Whoa, whoa, whoa.  Since when did Sunset Valley get totally overrun with vampires, even without me editing the town and putting in Plasma 501?  They were cool at first, and they still are, but now there's just so many. What do all of you think about the vampires? I'm kind of in the middle of liking them and getting plain creeped out.

The vampire population grows quite well in all the towns.  The game's story progression makes the changes automatically.  I ignore them for the most part because they can't be part of my Dynasty and they are somewhat cursed by Dreamweavers.  Vampires die around my family quite a bit.

I don't play with mods (I'm afraid of the risk).  They aren't really a bother, I find it crazy how fast they spread!

I use to be the same, but I've recently started using NRaas (aka Twallan's mods) because they are very well trusted. Anyway, I believe it's Story Progression, you always turn off vampires.

(A little hint, if you back up all your Sims 3 files before playing with any mods, you can always test them out. If you decide you don't like them, you can always delete them and put back your old files. If you're interested, here's a link to a post about installing mods and backing up files:

As purple-roses said, Twallan's mods have never given me any trouble. You can set the town ration for vampires to whatever you want. I have mine at 10% to the human population and some get killed off by the Slayers and Helsings; while some townies can be turned by the Nosferatu. You never see it, you just get a story notice. That's another story progression added mod and it is quite hilarious to use.

I use Shimrod's NoVamps mod, and I've never had any trouble with it.  It keeps the story progression from creating new vampires, so people only become vamps if *I* turn them.

I like the vampires, but I hate when they pass out because of just standing in the sun. They are 5 star celebrities, and gossip always starts about them passing out and it annoys me. -.- Also I can't get them out of the sun, because I have 2 unicorns, a dog, a cat, and 2 normal people to take care of too.

I am like Pam I tend to ignore them because in the challenges I play they are normally not allowed as spouses. They do come in handy for friend requirements though so it is all good.

They are also quite the troublemakers. xD And in the Rowith family (the family I was talking about) every person has been a 5 star celebrity. I am so proud of them!

My computer rarely has internet, too.  I think I'm partway in fixing it just a little bit.  I'm lucky to be typing this now, since my connection is on one minute, off the next.  But I shouldn't say that, I might jinx myself.
