Favorite Sims 3 Pet? What Sims 3 Pets do you have?
« on: May 31, 2012, 05:30:44 PM »
My favorite is the Unicorns/Horses. I like the Unicorn Teleportation and they are pretty fast when they gallop.

My family I am currently playing is the Rowith/Mayson/Bayle family. They have a cat named Izza, a dog named Spot, a female Unicorn named Serena, and a baby foal Unicorn named Skipper!
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.  :D

I think it depends on what kind of game I'm playing. I have city dwelling sims that seem to do better with cats. My career-oriented sims in other towns seem to prefer dogs. Obviously, my ranching sims can't do without their horses. In short, I like all the pets  ;D

In truth, I suppose I prefer dogs because you can do more with them than cats, but they don't require the same degree of attention as horses. Many of my sims are gardeners and nectarmakers, and having horses simultaneously is simply too difficult (for me at least). One of my sims is a surgeon and he has a difficult time dealing with horses because he's continually called back to the hospital -- about the best he can do is brush/clean hooves and offer a bit of affection. Contrariwise, he's had little difficulty teaching his dog all the tricks and hunting skill, and can even get in a walk when he's not on call. His dog simply makes a better companion.

The foregoing is just my opinion, as I'm quite certain there a more skilled players who can balance any variety of pets in a busy family.

I agree with the amount of attention you have to give horses.  I have 4 different people in a house (One is a World Renowned Surgeon (Medical), another is a Pop Icon (Music career), one is the Leader of the Free World (Politics), and the other one...well she practically lives in Gunther Goth's house. She doesn't have a job, because she has a child. I have to balance their lives so they practically switch off taking care of the two unicorns, dog, and cat. xD My person in the politics career takes care of the horses from 1-7 p.m., my Pop Icon person takes care of the dog, and my Surgeon takes care of the cat and horses from 8 P.M. to 1 P.M..

I envy people like you who can play sim people in parallel -- I'm a serial player  :'( I do very well just to keep one sim moving along, and they tend to be loners and single-minded (vis a vis gardening and nectarmaking). I do play a few multi-member families, but these are generally setup so all but one member is on semi-autopilot. I'm either slow-witted or just plumb lazy -- maybe both  :o

I play with all the animals. I love horses and unicorns because they are so beautiful. I love dogs too, they can make your sim rich with collecting and the tricks are cute. But I adodore the cats and they are my favorite. Everthing they do is cute even sleeping. I guess you can tell I'm a cat person. ;)

Oh trust me. My family is hard work.  I am on the 4th generation, so they have lots of money and items at their disposal. The 3rd generation didn't even have jobs. :O

I'm a cat person too. I think the fat little dogs are supremely cute too!  My cat does NOTHING though. It gets annoying sometimes.

You must buy the cat toys. When they play with that mouse toy it is so cute. The animations for the wall dancer is very funny.

I do cat foster care for a local garden store that takes in strays and does sanctioned adoptions. At present I have 5 cats in house. Maybe I don't appreciate them so much in TS3 because my cup runneth over in real life :D

I am a dog person, sorry for those of you who love cats, but I am starting to hate cats.  Not really their fault, but still.  Neighbor daughter thinks it cute to see the kittens, but they let them run feral, so that alone ticks me off.  Then they use my flower beds and front yard for their litter box. This isn't one or two cats, they have at the least ten cats. They have learned how to stay out of my back yard,  ;D  my dogs have treed them, not just up the trees, but one climbed the brick on the house to get away from Ash.  They don't know he wouldn't hurt them; he brings them all to me live; rabbits, birds, opossums, moles, he brings them to me. Such as today, he brought me a mole; live.

So, dogs and although I have yet to do so, I am going to do horse breeding.  I used to ride a lot; can't anymore, but at least this way I can enjoy horses.

I like the horses best.  It's not that I don't like the dogs and cats in real life.  Just, their coats look so creepy and unrealistic to me. Also the horses seem to take care of themselves more.
EAT COOKIES.  You'll like them!

I have three border collies in real life , so of course I had to bring them into my game

I have Toffee , a red and white BC male , Teddy a black and white BC male and last but not least Gypsy , my gorgeous black and white mismarked BC female (mismarked means she doesnt have the traditional border collie markings)

Heres their simselves with my sim of me (based on when I was much younger , lol)

and a pic of them in real life (hope its ok to post this)
