Big improvement Ausette!! Looks more like Don from Sims 2. And your Nina and Dina don't look like they've got those fake tans either. :)

Been awhile since I played the sims 2. My sister is planning to uninstall it soon :(. but, the sims did get really ugly, at a level only really achieved in Twinbrook now. Who's gonna try Goopy!

Thanks guys  :). I think I did make Don's cheekbones a little strong, I'll have to go and fix those later.

They weren't spray tanned they just had darker skin. Also I think you have the twins the wrong way around, I always considered Dina to be the grumpy one who was in things for the money. Then Nina was the one who had no goals and was more open to trying out her options.  :P

I agree  :). Dina was a fortune Sim and Nina was a romance Sim, meaning Nina was the flirty one and Dina was the gold-digger. Sims wiki has a chart of their personality points too, and they're complete opposites - Nina is neat, shy, active, serious and a little nice, and Dina is sloppy, outgoing, lazy, playful and a little grouchy.

As for the skin tone, they're implied to be of Spanish and Mediterranian descent, so it's natural that they'd be a bit olive-skinned. Sadly I had to make them a little lighter for the Sims 3 versions because the Sim's 3 has duller skin colours and they clashed horribly with Dina's hair.

But in the real world, no blonde or redhead has that strong olive undertone, but being that this is Sims, you guys are right. I just like to pretend they're fake tan, because blondes and redheads with green eyes (in the real world), are fair (at least the ones by nature). Sure I was blonde last year, and have that same olive color, but by nature, I'm brunette. :P

I guess I've always considered Dina the childish one, because she was more playful. I think Dina should've had the childish and mooch trait in TS3 and not Nina. Nina had the mooch trait, instead, but it appropriately suits Dina more.

Yeah but then I'm not sure they were mean't to look realistic or natural.. Your's looked great though!  :D

With all this talk, what about other Sims 2 favorites like the Broke Family (the Generations ponytail with the bangs comes close to Brandi's old hairdo), the Dreamers (Darren and Dirk), and the Pleasant/Burb family? I'm actually working on Bella right now!

Well, if they were, they would have glowing, skin with shiny realistic faces. :P :D

Actually, a while back, I recreated the Pleasant Family, and I think they turned out really well. I have them up in the official exchange and they're CC free. I'll try to get back to them, with screen shots in action. I think that the ST version seemed to play more into their YA selves, but I played into their TS2 versions. My first attempt, they looked like Connor Frio and Tori Kimura.  :o

So here they are. I will try to get screenshots and what not of them, very soon, but here's their TS3 photo.

If you want, I can put them in our Swap Shop, since they're CC free anyways. :P

I like your version of the Pleasants, Jeana! You've matched the hairstyles really well. I especially like the look of Daniel.  :)

As per your suggestion, I tried to make Sims 2 Bella Goth today:

I'm finding this really difficult  :P. The two game have completely different sliders, skin tones, facial shading, facial expressions, body structure, hairstyles, eye appearance, clothing, and the list goes on and on. Bella was so generically pretty in The Sims 2 that I felt like she didn't have any distinctive features for me to capture.

She is so pretty Ausette. The Bella in sims3 is a disappointment for me with her enormous eyes and weird mouth.

Thank you, Ausette. I think I may put them up for our exchange, since they're CC free anyways. I just have to make sure I know what EP/SP content I have, and I may actually tweak them up with Master Controller, to tune the relationships. So as soon as I do that, I will defiantly put them in our Swap Shop.  ;)
