MasonThe big day was getting closer and closer. We did everything we could to prepare for the little bundle of joy, now all we had to do was wait. Amy spent a lot of time in the end resting, her back and feet were bothering her.
I managed to get a picture of the kitten!
I am not sure where she came from, but apparently she moved in with Amy. We decided to name her Angel.
I was upstairs making a snack for Amy, the house was in chaos right now. Madison and Allison were trying to do their homework, dad was working on his cooking skills, and mom was downstairs yelling at Matthew for something.
"MASON!" Amy yelled.
"Can you go see what she wants now Madi?" I asked.
"Sure." She said taking a break from homework.
A few minutes I heard Madison scream.
"MASON! GET DOWN HERE!" She yelled.
I ran for the stairs.
"Amy!" I gasped.
She was grabbing her stomach in pain.
"My water broke!" She cried.
"Mom! What do I do?!" I asked scared.
"Get her to the hospital!" She said.
So off we went to have our baby.
(
Apparently it doesn't matter if you are in labor, she still had to drive!)
We walked up to the hospital and I stopped.
"Mason, are you coming?" She asked.
I looked at her scared.
"I'm scared." I told her.
"Me too, but we will be scared together." She said.
She grabbed my hand and we walked into the hospital.
Meet the newest addition to the family...
...Her name is Lily.
We spent a few days in the hospital, but now it was time to go home. I was a little nervous taking Lily home, I didn't want to do anything wrong.
Amy put Lily in the crib while I took a shower.
I was in the backyard getting the clothes from the clothesline for Amy when Allison came running out.
"Mason!" She laughed.
She ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"Congratulations! She is gorgeous!" She said.
"Thank you sis." I said.
The family loved Lily, especially mom and dad. It was their first grand kid so of course the spoiled the crap out of her.
NatalieLily was perfect. She was beautiful and sweet.
Matthew got upset though one day, he said no one paid attention to him. He even threatened to move out! So I decided it was a good thing to take him out for a day just for him.
We played catch in the park, and then we fished!
We didn't catch anything though... But we still had fun.
"Thanks mom, I needed this." He said as we headed to the car.
"I don't want you to feel left out Matt, we love you, and you are just as important as anyone in this family." I told him putting my arm around him.
"I know." He said.
We headed back to the house, afterall we had a birthday to plan for the twins.
It's not a big update, but I wanted to get something up for you guys! Let me know what you think!
