A Whole Lot Of Hammings-Summing Up Summer
« on: May 25, 2012, 08:57:11 PM »
This is my first story on the forum!! I have been reading all the different stories and decided to write my own. Hope you like it!
Edited To Add: I accidentally deleted some of the pictures, so I cleared them from the text. Sorry about that!

Hello, I'm Emma. I'm eleven years old. I'm writing this for my mom, so we can record everything that happens to our family. We live in Bridgeport, in a nice big, modern house. My mom wants to move to either Sunset Valley or Appaloosa Plains. My father doesn't want to move and neither do I. I like the hustle and bustle of the city. And the views of the bridge from my bedroom window is to die for [Not literally, just a figure of speech.]. My mom says my traits are Star Quality, Good and Friendly. I'm the angel of the family. I always try to be good because I feel bad that my mom has to deal with five other kids, yeah, five. So that's me in the picture below,

Everyone says I'm a miniature and younger version of my mom. But I just don't see it, sure I have the same eye color and hair color, but my skin is somewhat sun kissed while my mother is more pale. Next up is my twin sister, Daisy. Her traits are Bookworm, Virtuoso and Artistic. She's always off on the laptop our parents gave us on some 'Aliens Are Real' site trying to prove to the 'non-believers' that they are real. I personally think mom should have given her the insane trait, but no, she got Book Worm instead. Here's her picture,

I know what your most likely thinking " Oh my! How are they twins? They look nothing alike!" My theory is that she is actually a clone from the future sent to the past to annoy me. But my mom swears it's her daughter. So, I guess no time travelers or time travel yet, :'( . now it's my younger sisters by about a year or two.
They are both twins as well. Aubry is older by two minutes. Her traits are Loves The Outdoors, Genius and Artistic. If you can't find Aubry, it's a safe bet that she is at the pond behind our house.

She looks more like Daisy's twin then Jessi's twin. You can't really tell, but she has my mom and mines blue eyes. She's pretty different from her twin. One being that she's a lot tougher and doesn't even bat an eyelash at fighting someone who towers over her. While Jessi prefers to sit at home and play with her pet fish, Fishy. She wants a horse really badly, so for her teen birthday she might just get one. Here are Jessi's traits, Loves The Outdoors [Just like her twin.], Coward and Athletic. She get's afraid of the silliest of things. Jessi always sleeps with a lamp on by her bed.

She is very sweet, though. Now we have the youngest kids of the group, twins as well. Up first is Cleo. She is only a toddler. Her traits are Insane and Light Sleeper. She's always fussing over something.

She NEVER looks normal. Then the youngest and babied the most is, Sadie. Sadie is such a sweet baby. Her traits are Artistic and Genius. She is a very smart baby. Sadie and I are really good friends, i love playing with her! Here's her picture,Her gray eyes were a surprise, being that my mom has blue eyes and my dad has brown.

Finally, the parents of our lovely group. First my mom, she is a Natural Cook, Family Oriented, Hopeless Romantic, Nurturing and friendly. She doesn't have a actually job. She says she works as a full time mom, which she says doesn't pay enough, but she chose the LTW of Surrounded by Family. I think she should have been a model.
Now my dad, he is Flirty[gross!], Great Kisser [Eww!], Perfectionist, Commitment Issues and Charismatic. My dad is a superstar actor, it's pretty cool, having a celebrity dad. Before you see the pic, let me warn you, it was taken right after he got off of work. So he looks kinda weird, so here it is,

Trust me, he doesn't usually look like this!
Anyway, it's already nine[at night] so I better get to bed or mom might get mad!
Love,
Emma H.

Author's Notes: [Not to be a copycat or anything!]
  • The girls are actual twins, and none are adopties.
  • All twins actually did have one with blond and one with black hair. Also one looked more like the mom and the other like dad.
  • If there is any way you think i can improve my story, tell me!
  • I will make sure the next update is a lot better, might even include a tour of the house!
Thanks for reading![If you are reading this!]
I forgot to add, feel free to comment what you think! Nine Views!!

I think you're off to a great start, Sadie.  Your writing is nicely done and the introduction to the family was lovely.  I hope you continue on with your story.  :)

A very good start to your story, I think half the battle is the background story and Intro.

It kinda is now that I think about it. I know it's a battle for me keeping eight Sims needs fulfilled!

    Rachel

No matter how hard it is to keep everyone on track, it is still so much fun to play! All the little girls do their own things [for the most part.] and usually the one i have the hardest time with is the parents!

Sadie I have moved all your replies to members into this one post. In the future if you are replying to several people at once it is better to just use one post and not make double and even quadruple posts  ;)

The Real Chapter One
Emma here, again. My mom says I need to let my other sisters write to. But I don't think they want to, might be because they don't know about it. So I'm going to tell you how a typical Hamming Household day goes. My sisters and I don't like waking up early, well, everyone but Jessi. She likes to wake up early to, ' Feed my fishy, make sure that there are no clowns in the house and to have enough time to get ready.' her words exactly. So Jessi wakes up at like five in the morning, way before the sun is even up [Right? The sun isn't up in til seven, but if i came up early i wouldn't know, I like to sleep.].

See? You can't even see the sun out the window! You'd think we wouldn't have to eat cereal for breakfast and we would have a butler or something to cook us pancakes or waffles, but my mom says she doesn't want to spoil us, in my opinion it wouldn't spoil us, but save her useful time. Since mom doesn't like waking up early either, we usually have to eat toast with jam or cereal. That''s why I can't wait till I'm a teen, [A few more years!![days in Sims]], so I can make myself HOT and FRESH breakfast in the mornings when I have time. Daisy usually wakes up with me and six, but goes off to shower. I shower at night so I can take my time.

Till then, I have to eat boring, old cereal :'(. Then Daisy comes down and complains for like  twenty whole minutes about how she should be allowed to make pancakes or fried eggs because she is almost twelve. But then she get's hungry and mumbles while she grabs her cereal.

See, she's scowling at her cereal, but I don't think the cereal cares very much. While we're all done eating and brushing our teeth and getting dressed. Aubry is still off in dreamland, thinking of the beach and sunsets. So at seven thirty, when my mom makes sure everyone is fed and nearly ready and she counts " One, Two, Three, Fou... Where is Aubry?" We all point to her room and my mom yells for her to wake up. So then Aubry falls out of bed and jumps down the stairs. Then she's in a mad rush to get ready.

That's her in the background trying to eat fast so she doesn't miss the bus. I, bring the angel that I am, are helping my mom clean up breakfast.

When we see the bus coming down the street out the window we grab out backpacks and hurry down the stairs, while Aubry does this,

and takes her sweet time eating cereal. Finally after the bus honking the horn a million trillion times she gets dressed and runs out the door. Then my mom can finally focus on taking care of the little ones, who have only a few years more till they age up. So my mom is trying to teach them all their skills.
-Feeding them
-Skill learning
Once they have had a little lesson, my mom leaves them to play and goes to prepare dinner. We get home around four and immediately start our homework so we can play after dinner.
-Mom making dinner
-Doing our homework together
My dad get's home around six thirty and we eat then,

Dad was coming in the door a little later when we took the pic because he had to pick Aubry up from Scouts. I was telling my sisters how I wanted to be an actress when I grow up. Then Aubry came in telling my mom she had failed her test and no one had heard me. After dinner, Jessi, Daisy and me went upstairs and played with the block table together before bed. While Aubry fought with her Homework,
-Glaring at her homework
It takes her forever because she gets distracted by the really small things, like the little paint mark on the table. At nine thirty my mom says it's bed time and we ALL  have to go to bed. I think Jessi and Aubry should have to go to bed then and Daisy and I at ten. The toddlers even go to bed later then us,
-a midnight feeding [Late :(]
Well, I've got nothing more to say so,
Love,
Emma H.

Author's Note
Hope you enjoyed this update. A quick question, do i have too many pictures, I heard there is a limit. If so can someone please tell me what it is, Thanks!
  • Does anyone want a tour of the house? I'm debating if I'm going to include one, but if some one want's a tour, I'll be more then happy to post it.
  • Hint: The next update will either be a lot of birthdays or a lot of madness [Or maybe even both!]
Tell me what you think!

That was a really great update you managed to show of each girls character which is very hard to do. By the way tell Emma to tell her mum that she should make servings of waffles in advance then save them in the fridge so her girls can eat leftovers and have a nice hot breakfast.

I have pictures for the next post, just have to upload them and write the next installment. I'll most likely have it up early tomorrow!
Emma asked for this picture,
-[Her note,] A nice HOT breakfast! Thank you Rachel for the genius idea of having the left overs in the fridge! My sisters and I really appreciate it!
Love,
Emma H.
