Anybody Use Any Other Worlds?

I am busy with creating Sim City for The Sims 3. No custom content will be added, so it is safe. When it's ready, then I will post a link to my account on thesims3.com. But it will not be ready soon. It's a huge place, so it will take awhile. Although now I've finally learned how to handle Create a World, I am still a newbie to it.

And thanks to the info I got from a lot of members on this forum for functions on community lots, you can expect a well designed city with a lot of things to do, such as an amusement water park and even a nectar factory (yes, nectar factories are available in home worlds if you make them yourself).

If you have some ideas, please tell me.

I downloaded one called Castaway Cove. I can't link it here, since the site contains CC.

It works just fine, I played it for about an hour this morning with no problems. The only issue I have is that this is A LOT OF WORK. I have to populate the town myself. I was told it would spawn a population, but I have yet to see any new townies. This is also a good thing, since this may mean I will have more control over who comes into town. I have plenty of Sims in the bin, so not a huge deal, just irritating. The town does look really nice, a bit small, but after playing the Riverview metroplis, this is actually not a bad thing. Going to play some more later on.

I dunno...I imagine you could, but the file would be huge and I have no idea if Sims3.com has a limit on how big a file can be. It would be great if you could!

Most neighborhoods aren't uploaded using thesims3.com, but places like mediafire, because you can upload larger files.

I started playing in a new town called Cascade Falls or something like that.  It's going well so far.  I did have to populate it myself, which rather annoying.  But when I think about it, I don't know if I'd want someone else to populate it when they make the town because it increases the chances of accidently getting some bad custom content with all of those Sims.  My town has started spawning new Sims moving to town, though, so that's good.  It also has the regular service Sims (mail carrier, paper boy, etc.).  It's fun to explore a completely new place where I don't know where things are.  It doesn't have as many expensive houses as I'd like, but I can make upgrades to the existing houses and make them fancy.

How long did the game take to start spawning new sims? my town is taking forever.

It started spawning new Sims moving to town within a day or two.  I had my Sims read the paper and that's where it was announced.  They are still in their first week of the game and two new families have already moved to town.

I've created my own world and no sims are moving in even after 2 weeks of play! Why?

Does it have workplaces for everyone or is story progression off?

Where do you get new towns or worlds? Is it from exchange or create a world?

The ones I've downloaded are from mysimrealty.com.  I feel pretty comfortable linking it here because I haven't found any third party downloads at all.  It seems like a quality site.

Where do you put the folder for the new world? I do not want to do this wrong. Thanks
