64x64 Lot on 60x60 Space
« on: May 25, 2012, 07:04:59 PM »
Is there a way to place a 64x64 lot on a 60x60 space? If, not, where in Sunset Valley could I put one?

Do you mean a 64 x 64 built lot? You can only put built lots on empty lots that are the same size or larger. The only thing you could do if there are no 64 x 64 empty lots, would be to go into the world editor and place a larger lot. You might have to bulldoze a smaller lot to make room though.

Yes, that's what I mean. I built a horse ranch in Appaloosa Plains and I want to place it in Sunset Valley. there are no 64x64 lots there.

OK, yes, you would have to lay a 64 x 64 lot down somewhere to place it on. Because it is so big, you probably will have to bulldoze something to make room.

The empty lots near Pinochle Point is where I usually end up putting the new lots because they're empty and ub most of my games I don't actually put anything in that section.

Hmmm...I wonder if I move the junkyard somewhere else, it will fit there. I'll have to try it tomorrow.

Are you in Sunset Valley?  The gym and the science lab are both on 64 x 64 lots.

Yes...in Sunset Valley. But if I replace one of them, I would have to find another to replace, say, the science lab. I just gave up on the idea I had for a game. Thank you!

Jude if I want a 64 lot in Sunset Valley, I bulldoze the emty 60x60 lot near the Altos and place a 64x64. The lot that is used for Dynastys ;)

Wasn't the park 64x64 as well? I'm quite sure it is.

Yeah, LoveSims, I tried that but it wouldn't turn green so I could place it. It says unroutable terrain if I recall correctly. I thought I read somewhere once that you could use a cheat to place it but I can't remember where I saw it...sigh.

Try to remove the trees behind if first.
It may take you a try or two (or two thousand) but it could be you could place your lot there than. I hope it will.
But you know: a 64x64 lot isn't really that bigger compared to a 60x60 lot. If it won't work, perhaps you will be just happy with the semi-biggest one.

Leto, I already built the ranch. I was an idiot. I should have built it on a smaller lot to begin with. I really don't want to rebuild it at this point. I'll try removing the trees; I didn't think of that. Thanks for the idea.

Well, I can place it but it leaves a big gap between the property and the road. I might fiddle with it some more tomorrow.
