There is an easier way to triplets you have to have your sims try for a baby multiple times even after you hear chimes. Then through the pregnancy have sims Woohoo at least twice a day. Certain Twins or Triplets. NOTE this only works providing there's Six or Less sims in the household as you cant exceed 8 sims in a household.

I just tested this.  I placed a male and female sim in a household.  Neither of them had the Fertility Treatment, and the mother-to-be never watched any kind of television.  I used Try For Baby three times, and each time I heard the chimes.

I was kind of skeptical about the "woohoo twice a day" part because I didn't see how that fit into the equation, but the sims did so anyway.  At least it gave a nice mood boost.

When the female went into labor, she gave birth to a single baby boy.  I think that it can be concluded from this that it doesn't work, but maybe I'll test it out again a few more times just to make sure.

Also, please forgive any mistakes in spelling and grammar; I'm using an iPad.

I've posted game code at the front of the thread. If indeed WooHooing a lot increased chances of Twins/Triplets, I would have emphasized  it since such information would be hugely beneficial (the fun gain from a single WooHoo is quite big). :)

Coding says the gender is decided at random (if fruit hasn't been eaten/doctor hasn't been asked) at the moment of birth. As far as I can remember, anyway. I've also heard of experiments where the same pregnant woman had a baby while eating no fruit and it was a different gender each time.

EDIT: I've remembered that the "experiment" was my own. ::) Pretty sure others have tried it as well, though. Anyway - Lori in my first legacy attempt had ate nothing, fruit-wise. I saved on the morning of her third day (She was due the baby at lunchtime because that's when it was conceived) and she had a boy when I re-entered my game. It crashed while I was designing the nursery, so I reloaded and she had a girl the next time.

I agree that the gender of OUR Sims babies are determined randomly at time of birth, but why does Justine Keaton always have a boy and Claire Ursine a girl? I'd like to know. ;)

Actually they don't always.  I actually had a game where Justine had a girl.  I was so shocked.

I think EA probably fed them Apples / Watermelons, but probably made sure not to give a 100% chance. I mentioned this coding in the "Mixed Gender Twins: It's True!" thread. Otherwise, I don't think the code can alter a particular Sim.
