Showtime Features Added to Union Cove?
« on: May 23, 2012, 02:12:57 PM »
I was told that the update to add Showtime features to Union Cove was being made. Does anyone know the approximate time that this version of Union Cove will be released? Is there any info on this?

The updates are in progress as we speak. Just a slight hitch in that some of us on the team are in the middle of the exam season so sims, and any fun time is pretty restricted. It is definitely in the works though!  :)

So far two venues are completed, the park and a large venue on the pier which has been remodeled.  Just waiting for others to finish up their school and work stuff before it can become a file for a full update.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

This is so awesome to hear. I've been looking forward to this new release that I've been refreshing the forums about 10 times a day waiting for an update :D

If you move some families out of the oversized mansions, you'd have room for more venues. There are too many HUGE mansions in UC which makes loading a lag, and with 1 or 2 people living in them it makes no sense. Move those families to normal sized homes and use those large lots for Showtime venues. I've only played UC a little because it is overloaded with HUGE homes. I know those who worked on it wanted to show their talent, which is great. Love the houses. But, a little overboard in my opinion. The lag on using the city is terrible. I've found other worlds, bigger, with a smaller number of mansions, same number of inhabitants, that work fine.

I've thought about that, but I looked through all of the mansions. I LOVED them all! I couldn't decide which ones I wanted to get rid of. : ( So, I didn't. Lol. I might go back through and do it again to see if my opinions have changed any.

We wanted Union Cove to be representative of all the creativity on this forum, I agree it's massive and lags a lot but it's something of pure beauty and the best part is that I think everyone on this forum can relate and is somehow involved. We're not removing anything from Union Cove, we're renovating where we can and only building the additional lots where required.
