A difficult start.

I found a really old photograph today.I asked my mum who the pretty lady was in the picture. She told me that her name was Beatrice and then handed me an old and battered book. She told me that it was the begining of everything. Slightly bemused I took it from her and threw it in the corner of the room. Months later I began to read...

My name is Beatrice Westbrook today I buried my beloved Pa. Ma died when I was just a young un so now I am alone. The bailifs came in the morning and took away everything we owned there was no toilet,no fridge nothing. At the funeral a strange lady came up to me and handed me an envelope she told me that she wished she could have done more. When I opened that envelope I found $1000 and a list of instructions.

I know it doesn't look much but I did the best I could with the money. As soon as I could I got a job in the business career and started painting pictures in order to bring in a little more money. I may be poor right now but that is not what I want for my children.

I spent my first night alone in a sleeping bag on the floor. As they say tomorrow is another day and that is when my journey trully begins.

Thank you Fez I am used to starting out with $1800 and getting married almost straight away to get some funds so just having $1000 and no potential spouse is a big shock to the system.

Yea, I can't even imagine trying something so difficult! - I'm struggling with my immortal dynasty, nevermind this! So it's really awesome that you're giving it a go. :D

I can't get into playing my decadynasty so that is on the back burner. So there is my immortal dynasty which I actually play to relax and this household skills project. I like to rotate my games.

Moving on up.

By the start of week three I had reached level five of my career and was able to buy some creature comforts for my little home. I tried to save as much money as possible I really want to buy some property and a building in town.

I still haven't gotten around to buying a shower yet but luckily my inappropriate trait means I can use the sink to have a sponge bath.

I have to say that the hardest task I face is not gaining any skill points in any other skills then painting. I can only eat quick meals out of the fridge so as not to learn the cooking skill and to my shame I have to invite a repair man over to unclog the toilet. My frugal nature hates handing over $50 for something that just about anybody could do.

On saturday I invited Benjamin round I told him it was to hang out but really I wanted to ask for a job promotion. I don't know what my Pa would have thought about my entertaining a gentleman caller in my nightgown. Despite my  inappropriate attire  or maybe because of it Benjamin gave me a promotion. So now I am level six in my career just two more promotions and I will have completed my Lifetime Wish.

I have to confess that Benjamin did stay the night but he was trully a gentleman and he slept above the covers whilst I slept under the covers. I can only assume that the poor man was very tired as I had not asked him to stop over. He is a very rich man and if things were different I would ask him to move in or perhaps think of a romantic relationship but alas such a life is not for me I have a longer and harder road to travel.

Ratchie note:Wow this is hard  :o. Not being able to cook or fix things is very difficult and I am begining to wish that I had chosen Klepto as one of Beatrice's traits as the money is coming in far too slowly for my liking. I do have a plan though and hopefully things will work out. I am really enjoying it though and hopefully I won't fail at the first hurdle.

You don't need to buy a property AND a building - just one will do.  I worked out that there was a possibility of running out of places to buy otherwise.  (It was one of each originally.)

Yes, it's tough - although I haven't really taken advantage of Lea's klepto trait.  The van's the only thing she's kept.  I quite like playing with poor Sims.  (I think I may have the insane trait.)  I wish I'd gone for inappropriate, though.  And maybe slob.

Congratulations to Beatrice on the promotion.  Lea was still at level 4 when I left her last night.

A not so happy birthday.

As the time goes by and my adult birthday comes ever closer I cannot help thinking of the things I don't have. It seems like every where I look people are falling in love and getting married.

Even the television seems to mock me. I am begining to wonder if I will ever find the one. I accidentally forgot to pay my bills last week and the repo man came visiting. For some strange reason he just took a lamp as payment but it still made me less then popular with the neighbourhood folks.

On the day of my birthday I got a promotion and completed my LTW on the very same day I recived a phone call from a gentleman who just called himself Mr Payne he told me that I had been left $30,000 by a mysterious benefactor. I used the money to buy flying Vs coffee shop.

I aged up alone and unloved. I have many friends including an NPC acrobat and the repair man. I cannot recall how I met an acrobat as I only leave the house to go to work and I am sure he doesn't work at my office.

Talking about NPCs I called up and had a pizza delivered just for a change from eating quick meals. To my shock and dismay I saw the pizza lady stomping on my pizza. I was going to give her a peice of my mind but she ran off before I could say anything. I still ate the pizza though $30 is a lot of money to just waste.

I have painted over thirty paintings and completed five out of six brilliant paintings but it still feels like I will never paint one master peice let alone five. I have just 16 days until I turn into an elder and while I can still have a child after that age by adoption or cloning I would really love to have a nooboo that is born of my body.

As I paint I feel the need to express my inner most feelings on to the canvas. In my minds eye I can see myself and my family walking on the beach one day.

Thank you it is a really great project to play. I only have to get the masterpeices to be able to move but as it is random I can't guarantee that any picture will be a masterpeice. Another 5000 LTH points and I can get her the extra creative LTH reward which might help.
