Marrying dead sims, and outstanding citizen building bug?
« on: October 13, 2009, 10:53:25 PM »
Well, recently i've had a sim of mine to marry a dead person. Has anyone else done this before? I was wondering, will they be able to create children? Also will the dead spouse die?

Another weird thing i've come across is being unable to visit the outstanding citizen building. I can visit the lot but i am unable to access the building to buy ownership/partnership. This occurred to me when I restarted the game and the computer. This seems to only occur the the one of my sim. Is this a bug or something related to his job (he's the international super spy)?

In the Sims 3, you can marry a ghost and have it become a playable character.  And yes, I do believe the ghost will die again, which is quite bizarre.  You can also restore the ghost to human form by feeding him/her Ambrosia.

Do you have other Sims that can access the Outstanding Citizen Warehouse to become a partner or join the Criminal career?

Yea, other sims from different accounts are able to access the building, but for some reason on this specific sims account it doesn't seem to be possible. The outstanding citizen property doesn't show as a job area, instead it's displayed as a regular community property.

I would not expect a law enforcement officer to partner with criminals. They should be able to raid the warehouse at level 10 in special agent track....

Haha, a cop can't profit from crime? How moral...

I suppose you could have him quit his job, partner with the "outstanding citizens" and then give him his job back. Then he would be in their pocket. Ah, corruption... :D

The thing is, i can't access the building at all. So i cant partner up, or raid the building. The only thing i can do is visit the property as if it was a park.

I didn't know that you could marry a ghost Sim! How did you do that? I wanted a ghost baby, so I made my husband die (on The Sims) and we were married when he was alive, but I revived his ghost using the oh my ghost opportunity and he was just my fiancee. I didn't get the "Get Married" interaction either.
