Machine halted during save progress

My game always halts during save progress. This is not error 12 but halted.
My sims returned home from China and I can't save my game.
Anyway know how to solve this problem? Thank you.

Do you mean it freezes?  Try saving a different way.  If you selected save and quit, try save as, and save.  If you tried just save, try saving and quiting and save as.

My game always freezes if I use "Save and Quit" so I asumed this was a game bug. 

I always use "Save" now and then "Quit" and I have no problems with saving.  However, I still freeze occassionally when quitting which is not a major problem as I have already saved my game.
