Best way to earn money gardening?

I can't remember ever having as many money trees in a game as I do my dynasty right now.  They average around 30,000 when they harvest all of them, so lets see, they harvest around every two days or so, maybe twice, three times a week.  Almost 100,000 a week, I know some people probably get more than that, but that is so cool.  My founder is a gardening fool and it takes him all day to harvest those silly trees. lol

Well, seeing how it is my dynasty, upgrading properties, house, buying cars.  It is quite enjoyable.  I think the last few money trees are not quite perfect yet, but the rest are.  Not quite sure how many I have.  Now most of the special seeds are death flowers or life fruit and I have a room full of those, so will take more money trees please, lol.  I am not greedy.

My current game has about 35 money trees, always kept fertilized with Life Fruit. The daily harvest is about $20-25,000.

I've found that cherries make outstanding fertilizer too, with minimum maintenance, so my garden is Money Trees, Life Fruit, Cherry Trees, and all varieties of Perfect nectar grapes. I'm saving up the grape harvests in a chest to be ready for nectar making.

By the way, once you can grow steaks, the high quality ones sell for a lot at the consignment store.

Vampire Fish is a great fertilizer, too.  When my Sim has Life Fruit and Vampire Fish in her inventory and I tell her to fertilize the garden with the best fertilizers, she uses the Vampire Fish.  I'm growing them on Omni Plants and have about 150 in inventory solely for use as fertilizer.

Vampire Fish is a great fertilizer, too.  When my Sim has Life Fruit and Vampire Fish in her inventory and I tell her to fertilize the garden with the best fertilizers, she uses the Vampire Fish.  I'm growing them on Omni Plants and have about 150 in inventory solely for use as fertilizer.

Now I've got Omni plants, that's what I'm using them for. Technically, Angelfish are supposed to be as good as Vampire fish, but if I ever have to catch more, they use bait I have dozens of:  garlic!

Okay I have got Diana going down the Culinary Line but I know that that takes forever for me to reach level 10 of culinary so I need a backup Career for Diana, so I was wondering about creating a stash of fruit/veg which she can sell and wiz through several levels in one go of the Gardening Career, but does anyone know which Harvestable will give the best profit at perfect?

I've noticed that the more expensive fruits take longer to be ready for harvest. Apples grow quickly, are plentiful, and sell well at the consignment store. But I don't have any definitive expert answer.

@ samoht04 - My Sim's garlic sold for $90 each at the consignment store last night and they were only Outstanding.  According to information I copied from somewhere (maybe SimWiki before I found this site), Life Fruit is supposed to have a value of $25 which is supposedly the highest value of all of the plants and produce.  See Carl's Plant List. It shows a havestable value range which should help you.

Get several perfect money trees and sell the bags and they advance quick, in my opinion!

@samoht:  I think it would be extremely difficult to reach level 10 of the Gardening profession without Money Trees.  The money requirements are quite steep in the later levels, but if you cultivate a lot of Money Trees, you'll reach it with very little trouble.

In Sunset Valley, the last empty lot near the beach gets the moodlet, though oddly, the lot next door which is larger and also right near the beach with a lovely view of the lighthouse, dosent.. go figure
