Sims with insane trait hiding clothes
« on: May 13, 2012, 11:49:29 AM »
My sim has the insane trait and when her husband was skinny dipping, she hid his clothes. Now the only problems is that I don't know how to give his clothes back! Haha, so he is walking around in a towel and I can't plan an outfit for him for some new clothes. Can someone help?! Thanks.

Get him to have a bath or a shower and he will get back into his clothes.

You have, I think, two to three options.

1. Make him take a bath/shower and he will change back.

2. Go to a wardrobe thing. Click 'Change Outfit'.

3. Click the Sim and 'Change Outfit' might come up. (I am not sure on this one.)
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.  :D

I think it's not Plan Outfit as much as it is Change Outfit.   He/She should be able to put on another change of clothes

Wasn't aubri792moore telling that Plan Outfit didn't work? As that is the same as Change Outfit it could be a problem indeed.

Right.  The best answer is for the Sim to take a bath or shower.

Did she go to the wardrobe? I think I recall it working if you go to the wardrobe thing. I haven't tried clicking it on my Sim, but that might not work.

As far as I know that doesn't work. You really need a shower or bath for that.

Changing the outfit using the wardrobe does work, clicking on the sim doesn't. What doesn't work in the wardrobe is planning outfit in this situation.

A funny thing came to me, if a sim has shower in cans, a genie to clean it or simply doesn't mind the smell, it may go trough its entire simulated life rolled in a towel (although I don't know what happens if a naked sim has its birthday).

Yeah, that's an interesting thought. I assume the sim will simply grow up in new clothes, like every other normal sim would do. But the puddle of old and now dirty clothes may still be there, ready to be picked up and cleaned, or simply not ready to be picked up and cleand as you can not interact with it anymore as the game would turn the thing into a glitch.
Still, just like you, I was only thinking.
