If you were to buy just one expansion...

Which would it be?

I don't have any, I'm much more into the 'stuff' and building at the moment than actually playing. I'm thinking of getting Generations because I think it comes with the spiral staircase? I really want that spiral staircase! Also when I do play I always end up with loads of kids.  I was also thinking of world adventures because I like building houses with very different looks from around the world (or trying to!)

So yeah, which is your favourite expansion and why?

I already have Ambitions, but I would buy pets if I was to buy a new one. I had Pets for Sims 2 and I really enjoyed it.

If I could only choose one EP, it'd be Ambitions. It was bundled with the base game I bought when I initially started getting back into the series, and having since bought the other EPs through Generations, it's the one that I don't think I could live without at this point. Sculpting is probably my favorite skill, I love the fact that you can be officially self-employed, and I really like the professions a lot. The free clinics that doctors have (usually at the graveyard?!?) are entertaining too.

However, Generations is great if you're really heavy on the family aspect of it and yeah, that spiral staircase is pretty awesome. I like World Adventures too, especially the Martial Arts skill, but it's almost a different style of gameplay if you're doing the adventures - there are some nifty furniture and building pieces, but I don't know that it's worth getting just for that in my opinion. Then again, I'm not much of a builder so I'm probably not the best judge.

Pets or WA as those add on the most in my opinion. You can read an in depth review and guide of all of them on the guide.

I would probably say Generations. It was the first EP I played and I love kids and families. You get some cute new clothes for female sims, and theres some new clothes for everyone really. Tons of new stuff for teens and younger to do. The spiral staircase is awesome, and I love all the new toddler things, like strollers and new interactions, read to sleep, and stuff. It's so cute. I would say Generations.

I have all the Expansions and Stuff Packs. Now that I'm taking part in the Building Contests I think I would use Ambitions and generations most. Ambitions also has a lot of windows and doors and with Generations if you want a two story building and your amount of space is limited the spiral staircase come in handy. All the expansions bring great things to your game play. If I could only have one it would probably be Ambitions.

See, the thing with spiral staircases is that I think it's the sort of this that just be given to us in an update, not in an EP...

It would have to be WA...I love that ep and it's probably the only one I use extensively throughout my games, that and Ambitions.

I would definitely choose Pets, due to the fact I'm an animal lover and enjoy recreating pets I've had, but what is best for you really depends on your playstyle.

*Generations is good if you like large families. It adds fun new interactions.
*Ambitions has new professions and self-employment.
*World Adventures includes travel and exotic decorative items, etc.

Late Night and Showtime are probably the two I use the least.
As for the vampire and celebrity plagues introduced by Late Night, no thanks.

I personally love generations as I've said many times before, but other than generations I like pets.

I think I would go with Pets. I didn't do much with it, but I just love animals.

Do I really have to chose one? That's a very difficult question. But If I honestly could only have one expansion pack, or stuff pack, I would pick pets!

Probably Generations because it adds so much to the game. (gameplay, clothing, building options, etc.) But a second choice is definately Ambitions for all the cool jobs and skills and stuff.

If I could only choose one it would have to be Pets.  It's easily the best pets expansion they've done over the course of the franchise, and I'm an equestrian in real life, so for me it doesn't get much better than having horses in the game!
