Concentration points by meditation

One of my elder sims has 1850 points for concentration earned by meditation. What does this actually mean for her? Does she have any benefit with skilling or winning fights this way?

Hi Leto.  Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to your question - I haven't been checking the skill threads lately.  I've just checked on one of my martial artists.  The skill journal shows number of hours of meditation and hours of meditative focus.  I'm assuming the meditative focus is the same as what you are calling concentration points.  As you no doubt know, meditative focus is the moodlet they get after meditating a certain length of time.  My understanding is that it is supposed to increase the rate at which they learn skills, but I've never tested this.  I don't know of any particular reason why meditative focus is tracked in the skill journal.  It would be nice if X number of hours of meditative focus gave the sim some benefit, but I don't think it does.

No problem. To be honest I forgot this topic already. A few people have seen it, but as I expected, no one knows what the concentration points mean. Maybe it is a hidden skill, or something like that. The game is so huge in its complexity, I'm sure there are still things that haven't been encountered. And I believe the concentration points are one of them.

I just remembered, sometimes one of my martial arts experts will have a Meditative Focus moodlet that lasts and lasts.  I had thought it was just a glitch in the game, but maybe this is what happens if they meditate a lot.

I can half confirm that. Some of my sims had that, too, but after I installed Ambitions the permanent moodlet stopped. Too bad, I liked the effect of learning faster.
