At first when I read this, I figured a hybrid was a Sim which was simultaneously two of the life states mentioned in the list.  Rereading it, I see that it says an offpsring of two of the life states.  So, this means that it must have a mother and father who are two different life states, but it doesn't matter what life state the hybrid itself is?  Or did you mean for the hybrid to have the meaning I originally thought it did?

Well, I guess ideally the hybrid offspring would be combination of both mother and father. But there's some element of chance to that, right? If you have a vampire mom and a mummy dad there is no guarantee you will get a vampire/mummy hybrid baby, correct? That's kind of why I am not putting a life state requirement on the offspring. The clock is always ticking in this event and players could get very frustrated if the correct combo did not happen at birth.

Right, there's no guarantee.  Thanks, I understand what you mean now.

If we're missing one expansion can we just add a different type of hybrid?  Please.

I apologize but you need all expansions for this one.

@AdnaanA — Rachel is correct. All you need to do is look no further than the guide for a question like that.

The parental life states need to be established before Trying For Baby (the Hybrid life state)

Hi! I've never tried one of these challenges before but am really excited to try this one. I am confused on this point and am hoping someone can clarify. Does this mean that I have to have ALL the other life states in my household before attempting "Try for Baby" with any two?

What it means is that the two life states that will be the parents need to be members of the household.

Definitely. As soon as a ruleset goes live practicing can begin.

The following rule has been added —

  • If the town you want to play in does not have an empty lot to build a home, then you are free to use Edit Town to make that happen. Additionally, you may also use Edit Town to place the Equestrian Center.

Are there restrictions on where we live?  Can we buy an empty home or empty lot to start with and then move in with a townie if we wanted?  Or do we need to play the entire challenge on/in our starting lot/home?
