Actually I think 3 days is possible. If you use the time machine the offspring is still technically a child of both parents, and it's really fast. There's nothing technically stopping you, from what I see, but you'll need incredible luck to successfully get the vampire, unicorn and Oh My Ghost within three days.

Oh ya, forgot about your time machine trick (I didn't know about that !!!).  Now I'm excited to try it again and see if I can get 3 days.

2 days would be pretty impossible lol.  Even if unicorn shows up day 1, I doubt i will have enough points on Kim Marshall for her to buy attractive - which means she won't be able to invite unicorn in one night, requires 2 tries.  If unicorn shows up day 2, still take several hours with the attractive reward, thus inviting the unicorn in day 3 (early hours).

My mummy took 3 tries in the sarcophagus, that would definitely take longer than 2 days.  Did anyone get their mummy on 1st try?  I wonder if there is a trick I'm missing somewhere or it is just pure luck.

If I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong), the requirement is either a maxed hidden wildlife skill, or 3 BFF household pets.

I managed to adopt an unicorn with just one sim BFF and one horse BFF. The horse was part of the family though. If it happened because of maxed wildlife skill, Johnny Johnson must come with it for some reason.

I used Booker Singleton for the unicorn and I was able to invite the unicorn to join the household the first day I met it. It didn't accept but I think that is because my horse BFF had choose to BFF Rodney and I didn't know it but you can get it if you have all requirements prior to meeting it! Maybe it's Booker's traits. I don't remember them but according to Wikia they are loves the outdoors, party animal, charismatic, schmoozer, and ambitious! I suppose schmoozer and charismatic could have been helpful in this but I didn't increase any of his skills so whatever he had was whatever he started with.

You can't - it takes 8 hours and 16 hours respectively to trigger the notifications. I checked in the code. So if you wake up the first time, use the tree of prosperity to drain your energy, then go straight back to sleep, it will take you just over 24hrs to complete it.

Reading the winning strategies I actually feel a lot better about my hugely lower score.

I had stumbled onto more of the tactics than I thought I had. Having only recently purchased Pets and Showtime and only getting the chance for a couple of practice runs seems to have been my biggest trouble. I had thought of the idea of resurrecting a pet already dead at the start of the game right at the start, but I couldn't find a way to acquire a pet ghost so I eventually gave up. It never occurred to me that there might be pet graves in the neighbourhood homes. So I had to go for the pet ghost the long way around and got rather unlucky (or lucky depending on how you view it) with a very long living elder pet :)

I had targeted the Singleton and Parrott families but I didn't get lucky with IF in mailbox until the hybrid was born...and the hybrid took its sweet time as I never managed to get a Time Machine available at consignment store unlike in my practice runs.

All I can say is this wedding planning malarky really eats up your sim playtime :P

I'm impressed with everyone who tried this challenge. I knew I wouldn't be able to concentrate on it, but I think everyone who attempted it should get double participation points or something.

I had wanted to try this challenge, but real life has been crazy so I haven't been able to play at all for awhile.  I really enjoyed reading the strategies!  I had no idea you could get a mummy without going on vacation since I've never tried using transfiguration table.  I'm going to have to go check that out now!  Congrats on the fantastic scores!

Wow! I did some practice runs for this challenge before hand, but couldn't seem to get anywhere near less than two weeks so didn't officially enter. My strategy was definitely off, but it was still fun to play with all those different types of sims in one house. And I learned a ton from reading about how everyone else tackled it - amazing work!

Looks like I missed out on a really nice challenge during my holiday!
It sounds like a fun challenge and I have decide to have a go at this one anyway.
Many things of this challenge are things I haven't done before, so even if I'd try to copy what the top listed players did, I probably still wouldn't end up in the top 10 ;)
But I am mainly going do it for the fun and learning experience and see for myself if I can finish this one ;D
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D
