Well I thought I had done really well until all the big hitters started submiting scores. I went from the top of the leader board to somewhere near the bottom.
I am guessing everyone figured out how to get the blue ghost pet but I still have no idea how to get a mummy without travelling.

The way I got the blue ghost pet is by moving in with the Marshalls in Appaloosa Plains, they have an urn in their home belonging to a horse who just so happens to be a blue ghost. Once the oh my ghost opp came up I just took it to the science lab and voila blue ghost pet. In my testing I also discovered that if genie ressurects a Sim/Animal that starts the game in a ghost state they are ressurected as a ghost not as a Sim.

In all my test games the unicorn showed up pretty much straight away in my game file four days it took for one to show up.I was not happy. I also tried moving in Imogen Pelly in hopes that her unborn child would get an imaginary friend doll, she didn't again I was not happy.

I'm just reposting the message I sent Metro.

My original sim, Darrell Drake had the following traits - Can't Stand Art, Evil, Kleptomaniac, Charismatic and Ambitious (heh not the typical fare). LTW was Swimming in Cash.

Neighbourhood choice - Appaloosa Plains. No other choice. You need the cemetery of AP cause it has the pet ghost.

I'll quickly run through the ten requirements and what's needed for them.

[1] A Sim - normal life state.
[2] A Mummy - Sleep in the Cursed Sarcophagus of the Kings, which we need to get.
[3] A Ghost - a Sim must die, another gets Oh My Ghost! opportunity, revives Sim.
[4] A Vampire - a Sim must be bitten, OR we can move in a natural Vampire.
[5] A Hybrid - two Sims of different types must Try for Baby.
[6] A Simbot - we buy "My Best Friend" LTR, 40000 points. (Inventing's too slow)
[7] A Genie - we buy "Dusty Old Lamp" LTR, 30000 points, and free it.
[8] An Imaginary Friend - get a grown up doll and give it Imaginary Friend Metamorphium.
[9] A Blue Pet Ghost - we wait for a pet to die ... or, we resurrect a blue pet ghost!
[10] A Unicorn - we find it, befriend it, and ask it to move in.

On the first day, I worked to move in three groups of Sims - they are Gavin Pinkerton, Kim Marshall and company, and Kanoa Parrott.

Pinkerton can be done easily by using Complain About Art - this is why I picked Can't Stand Art. I wanted his Margaret Vaguester.
Kim Marshall - I found out about her business career job and then spammed Talk About Business until she would move in. I brought in her husband Felipe and the three pets. Need her help for the Unicorn.
Kanoa Parrott - took a bit longer but wasn't so critical as I was just exploiting his Logic 9 skill for the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion.

Of course, I grabbed the Motive Mobile with my starting LTR points from the Swimming in Cash and a few other small wishes, and worked from there.

Going item by item,
[1] A Sim: Darrell Drake (Day 1)
No changes here, my starting Sim remained a Sim for the entire six days of challenge.

[2] A Mummy: Kanoa Parrott (Day 6)
I sent Gavin Pinkerton to buy up the consignment store many, many times. I also used the money from his Vaguester to buy over the performance park, and filled it with counters and relic registers. The point of this is to transfigure five fragments of the Sarcophagus of Kings. You need 8 elements on the display table with value 12k to 25k, so two Supernoviums or Heart Cut Pink Diamonds plus other junk gems/metals does the trick. I managed to get the fragments by day three and passed them to my first sim Darrell to assemble (as he has the Evil trait - which virtually guarantees a Cursed Sarcophagus). Later I needed to move the small pets out once I brought in the unicorn, so I moved Gavin and the three pets from the Marshall family out. Sometime later I had Kanoa Parrott sleep in the sarcophagus, and he became a mummy early on Day 6.

[3] A Ghost: Ivan Drake (Day 4)
Very early on, I adopted two Children of different genders and aged them up to Teen and then YA, then killed them by drowning (very fast - use Trees of Prosperity to drain their energy and then have them swim and close off the pool). I made sure Darrell did not train in any skills so his chance of rolling Oh My Ghost would be almost confirmed. He did on day 4 and thus I resurrected the male YA, Ivan Drake, to prepare for the Hybrid. I had two of them in case my hybrid-mates were all of one gender (thankfully I did this, as the vampire, IF and genie were all female!)

[4] A Vampire: Jazlyn Parrott (Day 5)
I got a bit lucky with this one. Before thinking about the ghost pet trick, I actually thought of doing the challenge in Bridgeport since over there you start with vampires already. Vampirism spreads randomly and thus the best way to have an idea would be through knowing as many Sims as possible. I had my SimBot Elsa Drake use the miner (bought from consignment) to drill as much as possible to get to know as many Sims as possible, even if it was in a bad way. Though this wasn't needed as I saw on day 5 that Jazlyn Parrott became a vampire. I then moved her in via her husband.

[5] A Hybrid: Salvatore Marshall, Ghost & Imaginary Friend Parents (Day 6)
Try for Baby if done in the time machine is near immediate. Not much else to say. I made sure I got one from my consignment store runs early in the challenge. Get two of opposite genders, and do the necessary.

[6] A Simbot: Elsa Drake (Day 3)
When I aged up the two YAs whom I drowned to fulfil the Ghost requirement, I made sure they picked Swimming in Cash as their LTW. Fortunately, one of them had Ambitious (makes Swimming in Cash 40000 points, yay!) - otherwise I'd have to speed through photography to get the 5,000 point difference. So Ivan Drake bought the 40,000 point LTR. Done.

[7] A Genie: Sandra Neff (Day 6)
Surprisingly this was actually the challenge-ending lifestate, finished at about 6 pm. As mentioned just above, my other sacrificial Sim Ivana Drake had 35,000 from her LTW which I used for the Dusty Old Lamp. I used the first wish for Fortune, because I had to buy the cemetery (see the section on the ghost pet). Didn't need any more, but as I wanted breathing room to work with and once the relationship is well developed, freeing the Genie is very easy, I did this last.

[8] An Imaginary Friend: Pal Marshall (Day 4)
As discussed earlier I moved in Kanoa Parrott with his Logic 9, so it didn't take too long on the inventing table to make an Imaginary Friend Metamorphium. After drowning the 2 YAs, I arranged to adopt a toddler Iris Marshall whom I then aged up to child and then YA. After making Best Friends with the IF, I used the potion on the IF. Iris was later moved out to make space in the household.

[9] A Blue Ghost Pet: Breezy (Day 5)
The cemetery in AP has a few pet ghosts, including this lovely specimen. Now this is where the Kleptomaniac trait comes in handy! For some reason, the game didn't seem to allow me to "Swipe Something" inside the pet cemetery enclosure, but buying the Cemetery and moving Breezy's grave out did the trick. Darrell then swiped the gravestone and brought it to the Science Facility. Done.

[10] A Unicorn: Seraf Horse (Day 5)
The key to this, really, is Kim Marshall. She has the Animal Lover trait and is already BFF with her 3 pets. So all you need to do is wait for the Unicorn to spawn and you can immediately start work on bringing its relationship up. I wasn't able to do it on the first shot, but successfully brought the unicorn's status up to BFF the second time I met it.

Quite a fair bit of multi-tasking, though nothing too bad.

And at that time, I wrote this: It's probably possible to do this faster than 6 days, but I only got Oh My Ghost! on Day 4 and the unicorn on 3 and 5 (ugh), so that slowed things down a bit... Nutella or LenaLJ (or anyone else) might spring a 5 days, for all I know! (or 4, though that'd require probably an even more powerful strategy)

The last bit turned out to be very true.

ratchie - the trick was transfiguration. 8 items worth 12k - 25k in total will get you a fragment of the Sarcophagus of Kings. If an Evil Sim assembles it chances are you'll get a Cursed one.

Thanks drift I don't think I have ever tansfigured anything so I don't feel so bad now for not knowing.

My stratagy was a little different.

My Sim had the loves animals  trait. She had the swimming in cash LTW too. On day one I went over to the Marshals and married Kim because she answered the door.Once I moved in I borrowed the horses urn and divorced Kim. I then went over to Booker Singletons house and quickly got married to him.
I set Rodney to the chemistry bench and he got to work on the IF potion. Booker invited his pregnant ex Imogen round and convinced her to move in. My Sim,Booker and Imogen all have the swimming in cash LTW so I just sold all the cars and kerching lots of happiness points.
I used Bookers LTH points to get a Simbot.I used Imogens to buy the dusty old lamp.
I then sent my Sim to meet lots of people in hopes of one turning vamp. That took two very long days.
Booker was my ghost he had a slight accident with a fireplace in a locked room.

As I said before the unicorn took ages to show up and baby Pelly didn't get an imaginary friend doll in the post so I had to wait for the hybrid to be born before I got the imaginary friend doll.I also had this strange idea that one of the hybrids parents could not be just a normal Sim. If things had gone to plan then I could have wiped several days of my score.

Just as drift9999 copied what he sent me, I am taking the liberty to copy what Nutella sent me and will link this to the Hall of Fame:

Must be played in Appaloosa Plains.

Mummy -- no need to travel.  Use the XL Carter Transfiguration Table -- just have one sim spam the consignment store.  Just have $5,000 - $11,999 of stuff on the table, you will get a Sarcophagus of Kings fragment.  Repeat 4 more times to get 5 fragments.  Assembled to get cursed sarcophagus, normal sim with evil trait assembled it.  After that I had Booker Singleton drain his energy using the prosperity tree, then sleep in the sarcophagus.  Had to repeat 3 times then he finally turns into a mummy.

Blue Ghost Pet -- Estella Marshall.  Visit the marshall house and steal the urn in the nursery.  The pet horse has a blue color.

Unicorn -- Kim Marshall.  I moved her in along with her 3 pets.  She is already BFF with 3 of her pets, I just kept her playing with her pets so she doesn't lose the BFF status.  Also have her completed her LTW (use 10k and change ltw to swimming in cash) -- took the points and bought Attractive and never dull -- so once Unicorn show up, she can befriend and invite Unicorn in just one night.

Imaginery Friend -- Kanoa Parrott.  Adopt child as soon as my normal sim load into the game.  After the toddler arrives, mailman will come with the imaginary friend in the mailbox.  I have the child play with the doll for at least 24 sim hours.  Meanwhile invite Kanoa Parrott into household, he already has logic 9.  I have him discover potion until he got the imaginary friend potion - then move him out.

Ghost -- my child.  After playing with doll for 24 sim hours, I cake my child and the doll up.  The imaginary friend will drink the potion and my child will befriend mom (normal sim).  I made sure my normal sim does not have any skills.  When mom and child reaches good friend status (day 3) - I drown my child.  Next day (day 4) mom got oh my ghost opp.

Hybrid -- normal sim plus genie.  I use Booker Singleton ltw points to buy a genie lamp on the 1st day.  Manage to free the genie then "try for baby" with genie on Day 2 (around 3 am).  Gave birth to hybrid on Day 5 (around 3 am).

Vampire -- look around town and invite into household.

Genie -- Booker Singleton ltw points to buy a genie lamp.

Simbot -- had genie completed his ltw (10k plus change ltw to cash), did some sculpting for more points to get 40k, got simbot.

Wow, you guys are up early this morning, must be east coast !   My strategy is very similar to drift, except for a few minor differences.  Ill explained it a bit more from the PM I sent metro.

Appaloosa Plains
Starting Sim LTW -- Swimming in Cash
Starting Sim traits -- Ambitious, Kleptomaniac, Charismatic, Friendly, Evil

************************************************************

Mummy (Day 3, 4:50pm) -- XL Carter Transfiguration Table.  I married into the singleton household, so I use Booker Singleton (day 1) to spam the consignment store.

Blue Ghost Pet (Day 4, 11:30am) -- Estella Marshall.  My sim with klepto trait would visit the marshall house and steal the urn in the nursery (took 6 tries).  The pet horse has a blue color.  Just need the Oh my ghost opp then revive at science facility.

Unicorn (Day 3, 4:30am) -- Kim Marshall.  I moved her in along with her 3 pets on day 1.  She is already BFF with 3 of her pets, I just kept her playing with her pets so she doesn't lose the BFF status.  Also have her completed her LTW (use 10k and change ltw to swimming in cash) -- took the points and bought Attractive and never dull.  I also had Kim finish the Charismatic 25 people challenge.  So when Unicorn shows up on day 2 night 11pm, Kim Marshall already have the charismatic celebrity challenge and attractive reward, started the friendship bar very high with the Unicorn.  Also with the never dull reward, Kim was able to spam just one interaction with the Unicorn.  I was able to have Kim invite the Unicorn in on first shot.

Imaginery Friend (Day 3, 6:30am) -- Kanoa Parrott.  Adopt child as soon as my normal sim loads into the game, very important.  After toddler arrives, mailman will come with the imaginary friend in the mailbox.  I have the child play with the doll for at least 24 sim hours.  Meanwhile invited Kanoa Parrott into household (day 2), he already has logic 9.  I have him discover potion until he got the imaginary friend potion - then move him out.

Ghost (Day 4, 10:00am) -- my child.

Hybrid (Day 5, 4:00am) -- normal sim plus genie.  I use Booker Singleton ltw points to buy a genie lamp on the 1st day.  Manage to free the genie then "try for baby" with genie on Day 2.  Gave birth to hybrid on Day 5.

Vampire (Day 4, 2:00am) -- Tate Curley.  I have my normal sim roam the town and meet lots of people, finally she met Tate Curley which was already a vampire.

Genie (Day 2, 2:00am) -- Booker Singleton ltw points to buy a genie lamp.  Then I have my normal sim chat up with the male genie and start the free genie chain.

Simbot (Day 4, 2:20pm)-- had genie completed his ltw (10k plus change ltw to cash), did some sculpting for more points to get 40k, got simbot.

I used nearly same strategies, just decided to befriend a ghost and have them move in instead.
The child i adobted on day one was then the one i decided to turn into a mummy.

I also used many of the strategies mentioned already with minor differences. Booker Singleton was killed in a fire and the hybrid was a daughter of my sim and Booker. I made Rodney Singleton to make the potion instead of Kanoa Parrot who would have been better choice. Rodney also became a mummy but I didn't know about draining energy with the Tree of Prosperity. The adopted child was aged up to YA after IF turned real and I used his Swiming in Cash LTW points for the simbot and then moved him out. Instead of Kim Marshall I used Johnny Johnson to bring in the unicorn. Johnny was BFF with Chuck and BF with his horse and little interaction with his horse made them go up to BFF. Johnny then became vampire after asking his romantic interest Honey Darnell to bite him.

Wow, for the first time I am surprised that our strategies were SO similar! I guess the keys to success required very specific strategy.

- Day one, chat up Booker spamming 'enthuse about politics', moved him in and traded in his margaret vaguester for a motive mobile, and immediately tried for baby.
- Have him use the tree of prosperity to drain his energy then go swimming.
- Next I travelled (here is where I should have bought a small lot and thrown down a lot of registers [silly me thinking I was the only one who knew about this trick])
- On my testing I checked every treasure spawner in Egypt to see what kind of treasure it spawned, and only hit the ones that come with a chance of getting a fragment and/or canopic jars. I also went to the store every day. For anyone who's interested I will post the contents of treasure spawners later - I found what is in each type of spawner in the code.
- Next I should have moved in Patrica Bedlington - she goes into labor at 11pm that night. I wasn't sure about adopting, since I haven't done it before, and didn't have any luck moving in families with toddlers during my testing. Or just try for baby in the time machine. I didn't know about that one either.
- Buy an expensive car, move in the Martingale family, age up Cruz, sell the expensive car, and then use his LTR points and kick him out.
- Visit the Bird sisters at home, befriend the klepto and move her and her cat in so she can swipe Breezy's grave. If you buy the cemetary and move it out in the open next to nothing you are guaranteed to get it first try.
- Kick out the Bird sister
- Sophia Martingale bought a simbot, which I promptly shorted out and made evil. The simbot reassembled the sarcophagus for Sophia to sleep in - again using the tree of prosperity. You need to sleep in the sarcophugus for 8 and 16 hours respectively.
- I managed to get the 'oh my ghost' opportunity quite early, so had ghost Booker schmooze the genie, (I had enough sims with LTW completed somewhere - already too far into the next challenge to remember now lol) and try for baby with the genie.
- I placed the Vampire Lounge to hopefully speed up the chance of a vampire showing up, and moved in the first vampire I found. Because I had tried for baby with my first sim, I had to kick her out before moving in the vampire.
- I just used my free sims to work on potions, and it kept them out of my hair.

Knowing about adopting and the time machine (and the transfiguration, which took me over an hour to find out using google), I'm keen to try and do it in less than 5 days now!!

Ya its possible to do it 4 days, 3 days no way due to the prenancy time.  If you tryforbaby on day 1 with Genie, and finish up the rest before giving birth, you would have hit the 4 days mark.

My plan was 4 days, but then my sim spend some wasted time in the morning waiting for the adopted child, and by the time i finish befriending the genie and freed him, it was day 2 around 2 am already.

Okay, wow - you guys are good!  I'm happy to have at least been in the right neighborhood.  I wondered about the consignment shop, but wouldn't have figured out about the transfiguration - having never experimented with that.  Is there a simple reason that I haven't figured out why the Unicorn scorned my invitations?  I tried with 2 separate sims, each had at least 3 varied animal BFFs, and several sim and 'other creature' BFFs.  They easily got a BFF relationship with the unicorn, received a blessing, but was denied the invitation to join household.  There were slots open.

I also never got the 'Oh my ghost' opportunity in 4+ days of carrying around Breezy's tombstone, but now realize my sim had way too many skills and was receiving too many other opps, although I declined them all.

While frustrated at my ineptitude, I learned lots and had fun with this challenge.  Hoping what I learned here will help with the new dynasty...!

I never had a chance to do this one - work has been a bear. I had planned to follow the basic drift/nutella strategy, but for the hybrid I was going to have my vampire and genie both drink the ghost potion before trying for baby in the time machine. I hoped to get a ghost/genie or vampire/genie or maybe even a ghost/vampire/genie for the offspring. I'll have to try that when I do the Supernatural Dynasty or whatever that will be called.

I had the right idea! I am quite proud of that. But I now know I should have done more research first and also I should have explored more households! I immediately went to the Singleton house and married Booker! I tried to steal from the graveyard but was not about to steal any pets and didn't think to buy it and move stuff! I didn't know about the house that has an urn or the woman who already has 3 BFF pets. So I just tried to get it myself and thought I was doing well but then the unicorn wouldn't show up again. I learned about the transfiguration for the mummy but not until I had already taking a vacation and I was to the point where my game kept crashing! But I think I was headed in the right direction with strategy which surprises me. I think I may try this again as I never got to finish and I really really liked this challenge it was unique and I haven't played many of the other life states! Thanks again Metro for the awesome challenge!

Actually I think 3 days is possible. If you use the time machine the offspring is still technically a child of both parents, and it's really fast. There's nothing technically stopping you, from what I see, but you'll need incredible luck to successfully get the vampire, unicorn and Oh My Ghost within three days.

2 days even is theoretically possible, if we have amazing luck and can do this (this is combining everyone's strategies from what I can see, but not sure if actually possible):
Edit - oops not actually possible. I realised it's nigh-impossible to assemble the sarcophagus on day 1, because smelting/gem cutting will only come back at 8 am on day 2.
- mummy: assemble the sarcophagus on day 1, have a sim sleep in it for 24 h (process MUST start on day 1, use tree of prosperity to drain energy if need be)
- simbot: clear founder's ltw, 40000 on day 1 or 2 for simbot (swimming in cash)
- genie: clear Cruz Martingale or an adopted sim's ltw on day 1 or 2 for genie, then develop relationship and do the opportunity chain (any 30000+ one, probably swimming in cash)
- imaginary friend: adopt a toddler on day 1, get the IF doll, age up the toddler, use imaginary friend metamorphium on day 2
- sim ghost: have a Sim die on day 1 (tree of prosperity's energy drain makes sims easy to drown), roll Oh My Ghost on day 2
- vampire: hope we can find one on day 2, develop relationship and ask it to move in. this one's the killer most likely, very hard to find.
- hybrid: try for baby in the time machine, the process takes less than an hour or so.
- ghostpet: steal Breezy or Estella's grave on day 1 or 2
- unicorn: find it and move it in on day 1 or 2

Is there a simple reason that I haven't figured out why the Unicorn scorned my invitations?  I tried with 2 separate sims, each had at least 3 varied animal BFFs, and several sim and 'other creature' BFFs.  They easily got a BFF relationship with the unicorn, received a blessing, but was denied the invitation to join household.  There were slots open.
If I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong), the requirement is either a maxed hidden wildlife skill, or 3 BFF household pets. Were the animal BFFs members of the household at the time you asked the unicorn?

I also never got the 'Oh my ghost' opportunity in 4+ days of carrying around Breezy's tombstone, but now realize my sim had way too many skills and was receiving too many other opps, although I declined them all.
Yep. I made sure my starting Sim had no skills at all, to virtually guarantee that opp by day 4 latest.

I made the mistake of allowing my Sims to be celebrities. So even though it was already way past the higher scores, I could have made it had I not saved ghosts for last, why I don't know. Oh My Ghost wouldn't come up because I was getting spammed with Save the Herding and Make-a-Dream. Frustrating!
