Okay, 10 is definitely the max household number -- I just tested. So, it will be simple enough -- I'll just drop the Pet ghost and also require that the added Pet cannot be bought or adopted.

Oooh that is sneaky you made it harder.

I'm guessing that Sims can't simultaneously fulfill multiple requirements, right?

I am guessing that would be no as if you had say a hybrid ghost mummy and a hybrid imaginary friend genie(Not even sure if that is possible  :o) they would still only count as a hybrid not as two seperate entities. Plus it says there has to be ten urm things residing in the house.

That probably should have been PM'd to me don't you think?  ;) Answer = no. Each household member can only fulfill only one of the life states.

Does it matter if the Pet is a Minor Pet or a Major Pet (as in, does it matter if it's a Bird or a Cat)?

Of course. Only Majors can be household members.

Yeah, I was pretty sure that was the answer.  If I wasn't supposed to post that question on the board, I'm sorry about that.  I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Darn, this looks fun as I haven't played around with the different life states much, but I doubt I'll get around to getting Pets and Showtime by then as I still haven't fully explored the EPs I do have. Oh well, I'll still enjoy reading the results. :)

If we're missing one expansion can we just add a different type of hybrid?  Please.

Weve had a variety of challenges that have required different EP's. Some have been playable with just the base game while others have to have certain elements from an EP. Because of this there will be challenges that some people will not be able to participate in. Of course it is unfortunate, but it also adds variety to the challenges that are arranged.  Of course this will be Metro's call, but I'm guessing that you have to have all the different life states available in your game.

I might be in the same boat - I may be lucky enough to afford Showtime by the time the competition starts, but we've got other priorities right now, so I may still miss out :(

Unfortunately, no. :( Sorry.

--------

I have received several PMs from people asking how pets are supposed to come into the house if you can't adopt or purchase. I'll clarify. You can adopt strays, but what I meant was you can't simply call up the shelter to adopt.

I don't have Pets, so I'll unfortunately have to pass on this one. It's a very innovative idea, though, I must say! (:
