Hi folks!  I got a call from Metro this evening to let me know that he's having internet trouble.  He won't be online until probably tomorrow evening at the earliest.  So, the leaderboard updates will be delayed a bit from what he usually does.

A file where everything went wrong right from the start lol, fortunately the result wasn't worse than with the practise file. Thanks for the challenge, this was an interesting one.

Hey I'm a longtime reader of these awesome challenges but yet to actually participate.

Sadly I abandoned this challenge almost as soon as I started because I couldn't for the life of me work out how people were getting a mummy without having to travel abroad. And the time it would have taken to get one otherwise would have hindered my performance considerably. Oh also my vampire died before I could add him to the household...

I hope to try and attempt at least one of these challenges before the tournament is over but as long as the sun is shining, I can't help but to choose going outside instead.

Edit: If it's what I think it is, I'd be happy that I worked it out and would have never had a chance to compete anyway :L

Hi everyone. Thanks Pam for the heads up to everyone. Thankfully my computer now has internet -- it's wired ethernet, but our Airport router is having issues sending signal to our other Macs. Anyhoo -- assuming I can still get on tomorrow there should not be any delays with closing this event on time. (fingers crossed)

Oddly, the one random thing that happened so quickly in my practice games just wouldn't come up easily for me in the real game.  And the thing that was so difficult in my practice games happened very early in the real game.

Thank you to those with great scores who posted early - it made me think about this differently than I would have otherwise.  I'd never played these other Life States before, and it was really fun getting to know them.

I've also never played a Dynasty, but I'm looking forward to the Life States Dynasty.

Just as GlazeyLady said, seing those great scores made me rethink.
I ended up with 6 town days and 0 vacation.
So a total of 6.

Okay, I'm throwing in the towel on this one!  I have no clue how anyone gets a mummy without travelling...  And I can't get the unicorn to join my household in spite of numerous pet BFFS, BFF with entire household and BFF with the darn uniccorn!  And there is space for it...The pet ghost has also stumped me.    :-\

I will keep working on this even though I can't submit a score.  I have a feeling my game is bugged somehow since the unicorn won't join me...

Will wait anxiously to see how this was done!

I will not be able to finish this either. I think I just figured out how it's done without traveling though! Yay! I made it to Week 1 or 2(cant remember) Day 5! And still didn't have all the life states I was missing 5 but close to getting one! For the life of me I couldn't get an imaginary friend despite having 5 children in the house! I don't even know what was wrong there! And I have no idea how everyone got the blue ghost pet so quickly! Can't wait for strategy tomorrow! My game is crashing at approximately the same time and day in the game so I am not sure what is wrong with it! I think I will end up scrapping the file and starting anew just to see if I can get close to those top scores! Thanks for the awesome challenge though Metro! I loved it! And did many many many practice files although they didn't help. LOL!

I finally gave up. I know exactly what I did wrong, but I didn't have time to start over. I got very close though and I will probably try this again on my own. Can't wait to read the strategies!

I can't wait to hear how people got the mummy without travelling, challenges like these make me realise that I really know next to nothing about the game

This event is now in the books. Great job everyone! A special grats to Nutella for another win this season. So, what kind of state are you in now?  ;) Now the information can flow freely.

Thanks to all who participated.
