New Sims 3 Stuff Pack - Diesel Stuff

What is a super stuff pack? I edited my above post to include another tweet about the KP one being described as a mega stuff pack, but the Diesel one will just be of the same amount of content as any SP according to Twitter Guy.

EDIT: They've finished now, it was just a short thing. I'm beginning to think this SP isn't as great as I initially thought.. But at least the price is just the same as any other SP so I'm not actually minding that much. They implied on Twitter that the clothes in it was just for Young Adults and Adults which is rather annoying because we all know how much our teens are needing but hey.

..Double post () but they've released a trailer. Looks like they were having a tough time stretching the trailer to a minute because a lot of the shots are repeated and of the sims wearing the same stuff over and over again. There's one particular blazer over a dress ensemble that I like a lot - I've been waiting for that for a while, my simself has not been complete without it -and a few other stuff is nice but yea, definitely not a must have. A lot of it is too casual. I.e: Something you'd wear if you're just lazing around in the house all day. I'm getting it anyway, when the price gets lowered on Amazon. A few pieces will make nice additions, and I'm always up for new wearable clothes.

I like the clothing. The distressed look on a lot of it would be great for homeless/poor Sims. I would have liked more furniture though.

I like how most of the clothing looks, but it bothers me that the writing on the t-shirts is in English and not Simlish. I'm a Simlish purist!  I'll probably wait for this SP to go on sale. It's not as impressive as some previous SPs.

I ordered off Amazon Uk but since I'm in Northern Ireland, we have a bank holiday tomorrow so I got to receive my Diesel Stuff pack 2  days early.

I liked this stuff pack overall. I wish there was a bit more in the furniture category and more for the women, though.

I also wish there were more styles for the men beyond the hoodie and t-shirt type of theme. Sure, there were 2 or 3 shirts that were not hoodies or t-shirts, but I wish there was more diversity for the men.. At least this stuff catered to the men, though, unlike previous stuff packs and expansion packs!

Well as it turns out, LGR on YouTube isn't too big a fan.

The furniture looks horrid, because you can't recolour half of it. That's unbelievable! But I just love the clothes, especially that female one with the blazer and dress. I mentioned this earlier, but I've been waiting for that one piece for ages!

The chairs, lamps and the two box type coffee tables can be fully recolored, but the bed is stuck with that bedspread design and the table you can only recolor the legs

It looks like tacky CC to me, it won't match with anything else but CC which is one of the major downsides I see to that. When I used CC in Sims 2 you would download a set and then nothing would work with it so you had to download more to make it look less of an eye sore, that's what I think this looks like.

I have a bit of a weird relationship with the store, where I need to buy the whole set if I'm getting one item from it. I don't know why I'm like that. I can't remember seeing that item though.

Search the LGR review on YouTube and you'll see all the clothes. Some are very nice, but I agree with you that the furniture is just laughable.

I once tried on a jump suit like that green one, only white. I tried it for laughs, but it actually looked stunning on.

It's possible (just my theory here) that some of the content looks like CC because maybe EA employed CC creators. I'm sure I saw some EA stuff already that was created by a former TSR Sims 2 creator. I remember news when Sims 3 was first released about EA being in cahoots with TSR, so that wouldn't surprise me.
