Moving towns?
« on: May 09, 2012, 02:50:08 PM »
Hi
I'd like to download the forum world (Looks great!) but I don't want to make a new family to a new lot. Is there anyway to transport the family + the house to the new town?
Thanks

It's been a while since I've done this, so sorry if I've got any instructions wrong, but go into Edit Town and then click on the icon of the house your family currently live in, then a square will come up with a picture of the family and at the bottom there is an icon that says "Save household to library"? Click that and it'll ask you if you want to save the household or the household with the house. That's what you want, so click that. Then, once you've downloaded UC, load up your brand new save file and at the stage where you choose what sims to play, you can choose your family from the other town who should be waiting there in the clipboard. :)

Note that they will all keep skills, etc. and relations with each other but they will lose absolutely all relationships with the other sims in the previous town. Hope this helps. :)

=Edit=
Just relised that it contains content that I don't have. Well, I will be looking out for worlds anyways...

Welcome to the forum eastbank!

I have 2 worlds that I downloaded from "mysimrealty.com" that have not given me any problem and are wonderful. They do not contain any sims, so you would have to create some to add, or take some from other worlds. I took my favorite characters from other worlds and loaded them in the new worlds. The site also has houses and some community properties that are combined rabbit holes so you can save space in your towns. I used the combined community lots to make room in Bridgeport for Showtime venues.
