Game freezes in Riverview?

When I play in Riverview, my game will occasionally freeze for a minute or two and then unfreeze. But when I play in other towns, this doesn't happen and the game runs smoothly. It's only in Riverview.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Sounds like it could be a stuck sim somewhere.  Have you tried to reset all the sims with resetsim * ?  If that doesn't work, this is probably beyond my ken.

I always have problems with Barnacle Bay, but not Riverview.

I've had that problem.  I thought it might be due to my computer being so weak in the area of video card; I have just the basic card.

I had to delete one family which was permanently stuck, which ticked me off.  I hadn't saved them in any backup files and ended up having to delete the town. 
I've had it in SV and in AP, but not as bad, just for a second a couple of times.  In Riverview, it was constant with that one family. 

I've just started to save often, with the backup in case I have to delete that play time.

I've heard that Riverview and Barnacle Bay like to get freezy. Never played in either, but I will be having a story there soon so I hope it doesn't get too bad.

Have you tried what CSquared suggested about the ResetSim * yet?

Played Riverview before and hated the issues with it. It does not work well, too many issues with it. I removed it from my game even though I paid for it.

Umm, Riverview is a free download, you can get it as long as you register your base game.
