No children being born.
« on: May 06, 2012, 07:58:55 AM »
I am currently on the third generation of my immortal dynasty(in Lunar Lakes) and since I started playing there has been no children born to any of the townies.I check the paper everyday.
A couple of children show up at school but they are all NPCs the same goes for teenager there are a whole bunch of paperboy and babysitters at school.

Has anybody else noticed less babies being born in their game.

I've noticed this a couple of times.  It always makes me want to join the architect career just to go to people's houses and put in spare beds/cribs.

I think a large part of it is the vampire population.  Are there still a lot of original townies hanging about?

There have been a lot of Elder deaths just lately everytime Chaffinch performs a show some old person dies right afterwards. I don't know if the problem is that Lunar Lakes has a lot of small houses so there is no room.

I keep getting notices about people moving out but hardly any people are moving in. Kestrel knows ten people and none of them have a home in town. It is not a huge problem for an immortal dynasty but a decadynasty would be hard.

Sometimes what I do in my towns when I have lots of kids in my families is go into edit town and place my own houses. I use some default ones but I'll almost always edit them myself to put in more room and beds. I've even places some of the default sim families that the game provides. I don't always do that but I like to see the families that aren't used often played. It's puts some variety instead of all the ones I've seen already. I think adding bigger houses makes the game spawn more people. I usually have tons of people in my towns. Not to many but a good amount for lots of buddies to have parties with. :D.

Welcome to our Forum, Talia.

Your suggestion is a good one, but Ratchie is playing the Immortal Dynasty Challenge with this file and it's against the rules to use Edit Town like that.

Someone else had this problem, and I think someone else suggested they make a sim join the daycare profession, as that generates children to come to your daycare.  Also there is a chance a new family will move in after you use a time machine.

She has two other entries in HOF already.  I'm not sure she knows how to do a dynasty that isn't for HOF.

Of course I am going for Hall of Fame.

She has two other entries in HOF already.  I'm not sure she knows how to do a dynasty that isn't for HOF.
The last time I completed a dynasty Late Night had just come out and I never really got to explore all the new careers and skills that we have since generations, pets and showtime my Simself dynasty is a chance to play with all the new features. I really do think that if I complete my dynasty I should get another spot in the hall of fame because as much as I love playing dynasties they are actually quite hard. I just make it look easy  ;)

I'm not arguing your rightful place at all. You're an inspiration to me and probably many others!

Did you ever start getting more children in LL?

Rica sweetie I never ever thought you were challanging my spot I was just explaining how I feel about the hall of fame. The game is still not spawining a lot of townie children but there are more then enough NPCs to keep an immortal dynasty going for many generations. It would be a big problem if I were playing a townie decadynasty as most of the townies my family know are mostly elderly. Put it this way I get a notification several times a day that someone has died of old age. I am wondering if when all the old people die out the game might provide me with some new townie toddlers and children.

I have had several townie weddings just recently so that might very well lead to children.
