Trouble with my sim band

I bought Late Night a few days ago and the first thing I did was make four musically talented sims to live together and form a band. Their first few days were fine, they got calls for gigs and registered at city hall. But now they have not received any calls to play gigs, despite having friends, being level 4 in the self employed band, and being 3 star celebrities. Has anyone else had this problem?

The bands can be quirky. Be sure you keep the opportunity space empty for each member so they can get the calls.

I have no clue if this had any actual bearing on things, but it seemed like I tend to be more likely to get a gig shortly after I've had a decent tips/jam session in town. Who knows if that means anything, but it's worth a try.
