Welcome to Kyoto Gardens! Want a little bit of the Far East on your own doorstep? Then look no further. Kyoto Gardens has something for everyone.

There's a playground for the youngsters, a cave with entertainment for Teens and Outdoor Haters, a bandstand for musically minded sims to perform and elder sims to relax. A waterfall leads under a beautiful arched bridge into a well stocked fishing pond. Hungry? There are outside seating areas with a BBQ near the playground for the parents, as well as Cafe Sushi located in the pagoda with bars and toilets. If you've come by bike there are bike stands next to the pet kennel. Brought a date with you? Take them to the flower archway bench and watch the sun go down together. If it's all a bit much for you, then try having a sit down in the zen garden, with raked sand and the soothing sounds of a waterfall amongst minimalistic planting.

A magical day out awaits sims from all over Sunset Valley.

Pagoda & entrance to zen garden

Cafe Sushi

Entrance to cave & waterfall

Play Pretend Park
by Saltpastillen

Spring is here folks! Bring your family to Play Pretend Park and enjoy the fresh new greenery.

Lot type: Large Park
Lot size: 30x30
Price: Furnished: 63,502, Unfurnished: 47,121
EPs: Ambitions, World Adventures, Late Night, Generations, Pets
SPs: HELS, FLS
Store: Year of the Dragon wall hanging (free), Wings of Kalliop (free) and Hive of Knowledge bookshelf (achievement).

Play Pretend Park is especially geared towards families with children who want to bring everyone, including their pets, to the park for some outside and inside fun. As the name suggests there is plenty of play, and your children have a tiny village to explore where they can pretend to be the adults for a change.

Horses have to be left at the hitching post before you enter the park, but for your other four legged friends there is plenty to keep the occupied such as chewy toys, balls for dogs and even a cat jungle hidden behind the cottage to the right.

If the children get too noisy, you grownups can always head back to the rear picnic area for some relaxation in the bountiful garden. Or why not relax in in the artist’s retreat, where you can view the garden from inside.

Two staircases (located in the right most cottage and the artist’s retreat) lets you head down to the bunker where 2 cozy reading rooms, as well as, the bathrooms are located. Perfect for those of you who need to keep out of the sun or just generally prefer being indoors.

    Decima!

Congratulations Decima! What a unique and peaceful park with amenities for every Sim! You can see Decima's Entry here and download it here.

Decima's Comment:

"Thank you everyone who participated and voted in the contest! I love doing the contests so much and without the participation of everyone they wouldn't be possible.

I think I enjoyed doing the park the most out of all the contests I've entered so far, but it was a huge shock to win as I'm still a newbie on here and haven't that much building experience. I just watch a lot of youtube tutorials! It actually took me much longer than the other contests as I'd nearly finished when I decided I'd built on a lot that was a bit too big and I was running out of money. So I scrapped it and started from scratch again on a smaller one.

Thanks again to everyone who voted for and downloaded Kyoto Gardens, I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed building it. "
