Wrongly Charged for Store Item
« on: May 01, 2012, 02:20:08 AM »
So I bought a hairstyle I wanted last night for my game from the Store, it was worth 100 SimPoints and I had 243 Points left, after the transaction goes through I am left with 43 Points, so I was charged 200 Points for one hairstyle! I've sent an email to EA but I'm not sure if that is the best way about getting that excess 100 Points back, has anyone gone through this before?

I've been overcharged on store items a few times. My best option is to call customer service and I've found it depends on who you get at EA customer service. Sometimes they say they can't do anything. In that case I ask to speak to a supervisor. It usually gets resolved at that point.

I was once charged an extra 50 simpoints for an item, I just thought I was being paranoid though and that I had read the price tag wrong or accidentally clicked something else because I had never heard of people getting overcharged. Perhaps I was right after all! :o Oh well, it was almost a year ago - too late to do anything about it now. Hope you get your simpoints back, Tom.

I went through the EA help emails and said about my problem and the person who replied refunded my 100 SimPoints back to my account and they are showing up now!  :D

Can you give me a link to the hairstyle?

This is the hairstyle I purchased.  :)

I'm pleased that your problm was resolved, and you got your 100 simpoints back.
But, I've got to say, I just LOVE that hairstyle you bought!  ;D

That's happened to me. It happened with Lunar Lakes actually. They did reimburse me fully also.
