Male/female-only doors

Does anyone know what's happened to the male/female-only doors from Ambitions?  I can't seem to find them in build mode any more.

They should still be there. I used some not that long ago (after Showtime)

**edit*  um, they are gone! I was sure I used them a bout three weeks ago.
.. goes off to find that build I was working on.

Just worked it out. The lot you are building on needs to be zoned Community. The doors will not show in the catalog if you are building/editing a residential lot.

Oh.  I'm sure you used to be able to use them on residential lots.  I'm playing an unofficial Immortal Dynasty with a female line and it seemed like a convenient way to build a spouses' wing with forbidden skill objects.  Back to individual locked doors, then.

Why do you need to seperate males from females for using a bathroom? I got rid of some of them in community lots, because to me it's absurd. A bathroom is a bathroom. Saves space to not designate.

Depends on where you live. Unisex bathrooms are more practical.

I hate the gender doors. Inevitably someone has a medical emergency inside and my Dr of the opposite gender can't get in to help. I hate having to put walls up to see which bathroom my sim can use.

All the unisex bathrooms I've ever seen is one toilet in a room, never seen more then one toilet in the room.
