LoveSims...
It's official I'm going to make sure that Petre carries the next child, it'll be nice to "change things up".  :)

Thanks, Jeanamariex3 and Samotht04...
I have to admit that I absolutely love Lunar Lakes, I really really wanted it the moment I saw it but couldn't afford it was working on getting it when I was gifted by the ever generous BlackSheba, I'm still in shock about being gifted something so expensive.  I'm kinda hoping that the next kid does get Derrick's hair color too, it would be interesting to see if that's how it turns out.

When it comes to the skintones in my game I do have some default replacements, I use modified default skintone replacements originally created by HystericalParoxysm (from ModTheSims) called "Increased Texture Detail & Shine" but modified by Oykawoo, I use the hairless versions due to using the bodyhair enabled by the "Generations" EP and I use default face replacements by Tamo (Tamo's Sims 3 Blog) called "Ultra Plain Faces".  I wasn't sure on his hairstyle and had to fire up the game and look, it's not Store Hair but it came with the "Showtime" EP though.

Glad to hear that everyone likes the legacy story so far, the best part besides playing is hearing what you all think of what's going on in the game, so I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a pretty relaxed weekend and I'll definately have an update for everyone.  ;D

The hospital door is really neat looking. I love it a lot. Personally, I'm not a fan of default replacements. Yeah, I use some CC and mods, but the CC is just a little something extra, like clothes, or hairstyles. Nothing to change the Sims appearance.  :D

I love the look of the rabbithole's glowing doors too, Jeanamariex3...
Normally, I'm not a big fan/use of CC, but it bugged me that the men didn't really have nipples, so I found the skin I'm using now which really isn't too much different except for a bit more detail work to the skin, not very different at all and the same with face replacement.  It fixes the eye overlay and has some slight improvements around the mouth/nose areas.  It's no where near as dramatic as some skin replacements I've seen, there's a been a few that really do change the entire appearance of the sims.

I'm working on the next chapter as we speak too... Yay!  ;D

Chapter Eight:

Things continued on with the normal routine for us, both of us working hard and getting promotions and bonuses still, I think Petre
only has one more promotion available to him.  I have a ways to go still, but with all the personal time I've had to take off due to
having bothkids it only makes sense that other teachers were promoted while I was gone.

Later on that day, I finally finished Petre's Portrait to go inside the Den, I plan on having Deter paint one of me to hang along side
it.  He's becoming quite the artist and I hope he really decides to pursue that more as he gets older, there really isn't very many
artists here in Lunar Lakes at all.

After hanging the portrait, I decided it was time to spend the day collecting more rocks and gems to sell, since Petre was off today he
could watch Deeta and take care of Deter when he gets home from school.  Today I found quite a surprise too, I found a bird and not just
any bird either... an Earth bird.  I wonder how it got so far from home?

I decided he must have been a stray pet or someone decided that the didn't want him anymore, he looked hungry too, so I decided to take
him home.  But not before stopping off at the local Pet Store to get some bird necessities, I didn't think that the cashier was ever going to
quit talking before she noticed me and decided to ring me up... good thing one doesn't normally tip cashiers, because she would not have
earned a big one today, but I probably would have given her a small one still (I'm such a softy).

It had been a long day and it was fairly late night the time I got Rin (that's what I decided to name him) home and got his cage all
set up, so decided to feed him and bond a bit with our new bird friend since Petre had done such a great job with the kids while I was
gone.

Not only did he help get both kids fed, he help Deter with his homework and even read him a bedtime story...

...he also got Deeta potty-trained and walking, how does he do it?  He's a natural as a daddy.  ;)

Speaking of Deeta... her relationship with that creepy doll named Boinky is becoming worse, we cannot even take it away from her if we do
she cries uncontrollably.  Plus, Petre swears the thing is alive... he put it in her crib today before taking her downstairs to the kitchen for dinner
and afterwards when putting the leftovers in fridge, when Petre turned back around, Deeta had Boinky in her arms again.  Isn't that some creepy
stuff?  Hopefully, she'll make some friends and start to out grow that doll like her big brother has been doing.

Whom is really doing well in school and I have to say that meeting his friend Sheldon was the best thing for him, he gave his doll Bobo to Deeta
to play with too, but she never seemed to warm up to Bobo the way she has latched onto Boinky.  Which I guess is a good thing?

I have noticed Deter sneaking Bobo out of his sister's room every now and again though and playing with him still.  I decided to video tape it the other
day with our new camcorder.  I know this is something that we'll all enjoy watching when we're old and senile.  Speaking of getting older, can you
believe that tommorrow is Deter's birthday and Petre's is just around the corner too.

I never imagined that so many people would have wanted to come and wish my little boy a happy birthday, I guess he really is out there making
friends now.  I'm so proud of him...

...I know all parents think they're child is beautiful too, but look at my boy... isn't he handsome?  ;D

I'm starting to think that there is more than just friendship between Deter and Sheldon too, I agreed for Sheldon to spend the night way before
the party started, but after watching the two interact and hold hands... I'd better keep an eye on them a lot more than I thought.  It's going to be
a long night!

I'm glad when they went "stargazing" that they did it in the kitchen by the opening to the outside bar... they were well lit and I could watch where
everyone's hands were at and what they were doing too.

Later on they snuck back down to the pool, I'm guessing that Deter didn't think anyone could hear them down there... that's when he asked Sheldon if
he would like to go to the prom with him and of course he said yes.  As much as I don't like it, I have to face that my little boy is growing up and this is
the natural course.  Plus, Sheldon is a great boy too so things could be much worse and I should be happy...

But when those two tipped toed out of those bunkbeds at 3am in the morning, you better believe that I stayed perched on my bedroom balcony just like
our new pet, Rin, and kept a good eye on them... at first it was harmless flirting and late night snacks and then they had their first kiss.  I really would have
preferred for my son's first kiss that he had on more than pink and teal briefs on.

Those two chatted and flirted all night, before I knew it the son had come up and Deter had one more surprise for all of us and decided to ask Sheldon to
go steady and again Sheldon said yes.  Great... now go put some clothes on you too!

Chapter Nine:

Deter loved his birthday present, we got him a new scooter... which asking him to run errands has become easy as he'll do
anything as long as it involves driving his scooter to do it.

The next morning he wouldn't even eat breakfast, he woke up with an upset tummy.  I know he was really nervous about his
first day going to high school too, so nervous that I thought it was best to take the bus, I didn't want him getting hurt not
focusing and wrecking the scooter (and him!).

Plus, I'm not sure if my dream of Deter becoming a world famous artist will happen or not, I've noticed that he's a lot more like
Petre than I originally thought.  He's taken to working out and playing sports quite a bit... there's always hope that Deeta will
grow up to be my little artist.

Deter and Deeta sure have bonded and he's been wonderful as a big brother.  Thanks to Deter, we've both been able to back
to work almost full time while he watches his little sister.

I've been so busy with work that it took me quite a bit longer than I had hoped, but I finally was able to teach Deeta to talk.  And
I'm not so sure she'll be my artist either as she has taken up a strong fascination with all things science... she especially enjoys rocket
ships and star clusters.

I know I'm gushing again, but look at these two... what parent wouldn't be proud of their relationship?

Another positive of Deter really embracing the role of big brother, it has allowed for Petre and I to enjoy some along time again.  It has
been quite a while for us and I found myself to be quite a bit more aggressive than normal too.  Which I think Petre enjoyed much more
than he admitted.   ;)

While Deter and Deeta played in the nursery...

...we played in the hot tub on the other side of the house and this time Petre heard baby chimes when I didn't hear anything? Hmmm,
I wonder what this means exactly?

Later that evening we had decided to have Deeta's birthday party, so Petre got things ready and first made sure that Rin had clean
cage and fresh water and food...

...before making sure that our guests also had food and drinks.

It was a cute birthday and everyone had fun, I know it doesn't look like Deeta had many guests over since she doesn't have very
many friends yet, but the birthday did have a nice turnout.

Just for some reason, they just weren't interested in her blowing out the birthday candles and would rather listen to Trent play the
guitar.  Which I have to admit though he is certainly great at it.

And before I knew it my little baby was my little girl now, even though poorly dressed...

I decided to give her one birthday present early, a cute matching outfit... isn't she adorable?  I can't believe how quickly time is
flying by and things are going great, except for one thing... remember Boinky and how had hoped she would out grow him?

She hasn't... infact now she is talking to him and interacting in a way I cannot describe, she says he's alive... Petre and Deter both
say not to worry and that it's normal for some kids to have imaginary friends.  I'm not so sure about that yet, but we'll see I guess.

Sheldon is so cute! I wish I had his blue eyes! Especially with his naturally tan skin.

About the default replacements, to each of their own LOL! Me personally, I don't like nipples, and such on my Sims, and the Barbie doll look doesn't bother me. After all, it's Sims. I personally like the cartoon-ish look, and that they're not 100% in tune to how humans look in the real world. I don't mind their ears sticking out, their heads being too big, and all the other common complaints people have on the EA Sims appearance. It makes them more unique.

Thanks xFezIsAFreakx, Jeanamariex3, and Esther1981...
Sorry about not updating for a such a long time, but you know how things go sometimes, and I just haven't had the normal free time for simming and when I did have time I have been trying to earn swagbucks points so I can get my hands on both the Lucky Casino and Lucky Palms.  (then I can host another legacy simultaneously there too  ;) )

I do finally have some simming time today and I'm getting ready to fire up Lunar Lakes.

Hey Everyone...
Thought I would give you another update on the legacy.  I did have a couple of hours to play the game earlier and had a few other things to do, just finished lunch, and getting ready to start uploading some pictures and post what happened to the Hopeful Family today.  I'm excited to say that there are more family members to the Hopefuls, some expected and some not so expected!  ;)
