New Premium Content: Ice Cream Machine & Deep Fryer

I love both objects (like I do most of the premium content items), I just wish that they weren't so pricey.  I'm going to wait till they allow the deep fryer and ice cream machine to be bought individually and go on daily deal before I can pick this two items up.  Hopefully, they'll go on sale when I can get sim points... I think I'm not destined to get my hands on that hypotizer thing, LOL.

I have the set and just now my fryer just stop working. My sims put the food into the fryer and they don't complete it. The food stays in the fryer and my sim just walks off. Anybody eles had this problem?

It's premium content.  You probably need to restart the game or clear out the DCBackup folder.

I've done all of them! I've been looking at TheSims3.com forum and lots of people have had the same problem but with the ice cream maker as well!

It's probably a fault that will be soon fixed, since it's a new new new premium content item.

I can't rebuy it, it says I already have all the items in the set. Even if I download them one by one.

If you are having problems with your PC items there is a "possible" fix at the TS3 forum.

The set is on sale for 1,800 points right now so if you wait (unless you're waiting for the DD) you'll be probably be paying 500 to 600 points each for the PC items. If you get the whole set you get all the other items for 600 to 800 points.

I haven't decided if I'm getting this set yet. I rarely use anything besides a microwave or a food processor in my Sim kitchens. It's on sale to till the 10th. I have time to think about it.

One of my friends is getting me a simpoint bundle for my birthday. I don't think I'll bother with this set, for the sake of only wanting to buy items that I'll constantly use. Plus, I want to gift everyone who's ever gifted me and I probably won't have enough at the end. Also, bit worried about these problems I've been hearing with the set. Just for fact's sake - Has literally everyone here who owns the set had any problems with it, or is it just one of those bugs that are down to luck?

So far I have had no problems with the new set.  Several of us here have been using it so the game has been up a lot.  The only problem is our Sims are obsessed with the fryer and ice cream maker and the ice cream maker makes a huge mess.

..If some but not all people who are deleting the contents of DCBackup are having problems, then I doubt DC Backup is much to worry about because there is no correlation? It's a bit like saying some people who play green sims are having the problem and some who play green sims aren't. I'm probably missing something though, feel free to enlighten me.
