Boss flirts with wife

I have a married couple who just had a baby, sim's hubby is friends with his boss.  He invites the boss to visit and the baby starts to cry so he goes to her and picks her up.  The baby gets these negative signs and then hubby then gets them and I look behind them and the boss is holding the hand of my sim and is flirting.  She seems to be flirting back!
I have her shoo him off and hubby sim is upset, I am able to get it smoothed over between them; but it is not the first time he invites his boss over and the boss acts inappropriately; it had the symbol of him punching his boss before his boss dashed off once.   

I'm assuming that would be one of his traits (the boss), but I am curious, what would happen if my sim's hubby became angry at his boss and punched him, or did something similar.  Would he lose his job?

Sim's hubby has advanced in his career to where he should outrank his boss yet it still shows him as his boss (law enforcemnt).

As far as I know, beating up your Sims' boss doesn't get your Sim demoted. It will make them enemies, so your Sim may find it hard to befriend him for asking for promotions/raises and raising the Boss work metric though.

I agree with Seabody! My sim's husband and his boss are mortal enemies.
I'm curious as to the wife's traits. If she is flirty, that could account for some of it. The game loves to throw little unexpected tidbits into the play.

The only thing that will get a Sim fired is poor performance, which is equal to not showing up for work.  Like Seabody said, the boss metric will tank and it might be harder to get promotions, either by earning them or by asking for them.  But he won't lose his job.

Unless I need to be friends with my boss (i.e. need a promotion or increased celebrity star), I ignore them. The co-workers are the ones to focus on (they probably hate the boss also).

 My sim's traits are Bookworm, Computer Whiz, Family Oriented, Excitable and Hopeless Romantic. 
I don't know the traits of the boss, except that one is coward.  Sim's hubby is Athletic, Brave, Family Oriented, Good and Friendly.

Interesting thing is, hubby's boss called and wanted to talk and I clicked on yes, and the hubby answered and then hung up.     I know it was one of those weird glitches that can pop up, but it was kinda cute the timing. 
The only problem I am having now is for some reason the potty training is not showing up.  I have taken the toddler to the potty chair, mom to the chair and clicked on them, the chair and yet nothing shows up for the toddler to use the potty.  She has two more days before she ages up.
They had their second baby, I had her eat five apples and then they did the WhooHoo, and no music, so I had her rush to the store to get more apples so they could try again.  She ate five apples, then they tried again, then she ate six more.   There was no music, but later on that night she got up to worship the throne.   They had a boy. 

I don't know if I am being brave or stupid, or maybe both, but I am going to try for twins next.  His wish was surrounded by family.  Two now, twins as soon as the second one becomes a child and then adopt one as a toddler as they become children; that gives the five.
