There was one house with a basement, the one with the ghosts of those creepy Tricou kids.  The basement was really far below ground and there was a coffin at the bottom.  I never really played around with that, though, so I can't speak as to the presence or absence of an urn.  I'm thinking the house was in the default downtown?

Oh my, I just fired up Sims 2 and went looking for that house. I love it and it just begs to be remade for 3! The basement is really deep, isn't it. I don't think I ever went in that house before.

There was a basement in the house where Nervous Subject lived.

I always thought the house was pretty nifty, but never really got around the playing in it.  I was never into vampires (I'm still not) so the basement didn't interest me so much.  :)  I don't know if there was a family living in it when you load the game, but if so, their name is not Tricou.  All the Tricous are dead in the premade neighborhood, but I remember that there was a complicated procedure of befriending ghosts and resurrecting them and using them to bring back other family members.  There was a dad and six completely bizarre and unrelated-looking teens, at least.

CSquared that house was empty. I play a lot in it. It was amazing house! There was a basement with a coffin in. I also don't play vampires in sim2. They die very easily. And If I remember correct they could'nt have kids.

I actually looked the place up on the wiki. The house is empty at the beginning of the game. There is the grave (and ghosts) of two Tricou teenagers who were cousins and also the grave of a woman who apparently lived there after the Tricou family. There are two coffins in that deep basement suggesting that perhaps the family had vampiric tendencies. When I saw the house yesterday for the first time, I loved it so much, I'm going to build it for Sims 3.

It is a long time since I played sims2, but I remember the awesome landscaping of that house. It was really spooky and a favorite of mine. ;D

I also have a question. We now have the babble board, this thread, a thread about other games and interests. Can we have a thread for TS2 questions or can you ask them here in this one?

I think it would be cool if we has a section in the forum about "Other Sims Games" and divide it up with TS1, TS2, TSM, SimCity, SimsSocial, etc. I don't think it's irrelevant, 100%. Snooty and SimsVIP have a section for people who still play TS2. I play TS2 from time to time, so I don't think TS2 discussion section would hurt at all. Yes, it's Sims 3 but it's still the Sims Series.

The more I read this thread, the more I want to put Sims2 back on my computer. Took it out to save space; but?

Me too.  I'm thinking of reinstalling TS2.  Running a business was such fun!  (The Open for Business EP)

And I even miss the Original Sims game.  Magic Town was the best thing ever in Sims, in my opinion.

Strangely, the only thing I really miss were those blue formica tables from the sims 1.  My decorating hasn't been complete ever since.

I really miss the Aliens and the possibility of males getting alien pregnant. I miss the Tombstone of L&D (Cheat for anyone who doesn't know), I miss some of the outfits on Sims 2, I miss how the vampires looked (The shiny eye look bothers me on the Sims 3.), I miss how vampires could turn into bats, and I miss the seasons. I also miss how the Sims 2 (at least my game) hardly ever crashed.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.  :D

This topic hasn't been up in a long time! Anyways, I was wondering if anyone remembered this (note the picture Darren Dreamer painted on the easel!):

I hope they bring that feature back in TS3 very soon! The feature that let your Sims paint any picture you uploaded was really fun! Polanco actually had his portrait painted by Darren Dreamer in one of my older games too!

Hmm, sims 1, i loved the genie, with the roaches me me laugh, and i think i had a zen cat lol., hot date was good too, i enjoyed building restaurants. Sims 2 was awesome, night out with cars was great and I loved zombies and vampires and stuff, but I see that with all the new packs coming out most of us will get what we were missing. And come to think of it, although I love destinations I think the vacation add on for sims 1 was cool...... :D
