I miss going to restaurants from Sims 1 and playing footsie. Restaurants in Sims 2 were frustrating for me because my sims never sat with their dates. I also miss the roller coasters. However, I don't miss having to make and keep 15 friends in order to get a promotion.

From Sims 2 I miss pottery, sewing, toy-making (I really miss the kites and the evil jack-in-the-box), and slow dancing. But I can't imagine going back and playing either game. I think I would start missing all the things I take for granted in Sims 3.

I miss "rosebud". AKA "rosebud!!!!" for me.

In Sims 1, my house consisted of 46 Pinball machienes, 38 Skydiver Simulators, 33 Plasma TVs, 27 Servos, 18 Pools, and 7 Poolslides. It was awesome.

I played TS1 years ago, so I barely remember it! However, as much as I love Sims 3, there are still several things I miss about Sims 2. Miss is an overstatement though, because I love going back and playing it once in a while when I get burned out from TS3.

What do I miss still love to play with in TS2? Seasons, Bigfoot, Servos, having an apartment with roommates, sparing Sims, killing your Sims in the pool by removing the pool ladder. The rollerskating rink, the diving board, the actual water slide, aliens and male pregnancies, the romance system, some of the objects, like the IKEA furniture, actually interacting while going out to eat, the smustle, the table interactions like "Steal a bite" "Feed a bite" "Caress hands" the surprise engagements, wearwolves, PlantSims, Running with Scissors. I could honestly go on forever! I really miss the toddlers and children interactions as well! I miss when Toddlers could ask for things, nursery rhymes, dance to the music, play in puddles and splash in the toilets, sneak out of their cribs, family kiss. When babies weren't larvae! When they could be bathed in the tub and sink, the little changing table, and children played cops and robbers, Miss Mary Mack, and one would kiss the other on the cheek, and the one being kissed would be grossed out. I really miss when the toddlers could sleep on the pet beds and eat pet food!

What I really miss is some of the outdoor activities like basketball and hiking. I don't miss when pets were just there, and you couldn't control them! I'm glad I can control my pets in TS3! While TS3 is slowly bring back classics from TS1 and TS2, I will never move on from TS2 and when TS4 comes out I won't be moving on from TS2 or TS3 for that matter!

Am I the only person that never truly moved on from TS2? Anyone else still like to go back and play.

I'm like a decade younger than you, and I miss Sims 2 with all my empty Simming heart.  :'(

I miss the Sims 2 and the original Sims, but I have neither anymore. I somehow lost the first one (no idea how) and I gave the second one away to a friend who loved the Sims, but couldn't afford the game.

Wait, they're making a Sims 4? How the heck are they gonna top Sims 3?

If I had to take a guess . . . a body suit the player wears while playing.  Sims 5 . . . a brain implant.

Reading this, I'm beginning to realize I never really fully explored Sims 1.  I'm not about to go back, those disks are long gone, but I bet EA could do well to reach back and include some things from TS1 that would make expansion packs seem less like advanced repeats from Sims 2.

This will sound a little odd perhaps, but one more thing I miss about Sims 2 is that I was better able to understand how to manipulate it.  I could play around with custom content and mods and be relatively certain I wouldn't damage my game, and I'm not a particularly technologically savvy person.  With Sims 3, I understand nothing.  I have to follow the "rules" to the letter with mods and such.

All this Sims 2 talk has me thinking of pulling those disks out again.  I always wanted to do a legacy called Building Blocks, starting with just the base game and adding an EP or SP with each generation.  I tried it once and got to generation seven before my heir and his wife delivered twins on the same day and I gave up.  It might be fun to try again.   :)

I agree on the CC and mods with Sims2. My game was loaded and never crashed. With Sims3 the game is so heavy by itself you need to be more careful what you add to it.

I miss having different seasons, the Tragic Clown picture would always attract that ** clown!! I really miss the University EP for TS2!! It was so neat to live in dorms, and have fraternities, and study, and everything else. So much fun!!

And - correct me if I'm wrong - wasn't it possible to "woohoo" with your professors for higher grades?  ::)
