I miss the scary monsters, like the vampires and werewolves. They were so much more rare, and being one changed the gameplay a lot instead of you just being able to play like a normal Sim even if you're a vampire in the Sims 3. I also miss the cutscenes, they gave it character  :P

I agree about the cut scenes, those really added something to the game, especially the first kiss and a nooboo being born.  The woohoo cut scene was pretty neat too. :)

I really miss cut scenes. They were so awesome. I remember my sister had downloaded a lot of CC, and there were these potions she downloaded  that turned your sims into a super natural. So I had a sim drink them all, then I cheated two servos. Male and Female, and made them fall in love. It was so cute!
I also made a Plantsim marry Bigfoot, I really liked that save. Shame I couldn't get the required sunlight.
I also remember being astonished at my sister's ability to play all the way through college. :D

My cut scenes were always out of sync. The video would start before the music, so the music/sounds would still be going once the cut scene had finished!

Cut-scenes are the one that make me hooked to The Sims 2. I do love to see more interaction for children there. Like when parent swinging their kids around. And when children hug their parent when they coming back from work. Want and Fear also really something. I miss Vampires who always saying extra line "Bleh" "Bleh". I think that was annoying but that was pretty funny too in other hand. Big Foot is really something... and yeah, open for business if the one I miss in The Sims 3. It's pretty cool for starting home business or something like that...

And I found the interaction is bit much vulgar in The Sims 2. Like when making out... Well, really something else. The memories are so simple, but that was pretty nice. Instead memories in The Sims 3 who used too many memory :(

The dating/party outing mini game is kinda challenging. The headmaster scenario is so much fun. I do miss Pleasant families. I love Angela and Lilith both. Especially when I watch TV show that I see Angela slapped Lilith :P

Cassandra X Darren for life. Reuniting Mortimer X Bella.

I do love both though. So, I wouldn't be missed so much. The college life is so much fun! I never had any experience with The Sims. So, I don't know.

I played TS2 on an old computer, which played it slowly, and on minimal graphics settings. I never had cutscenes, and I never went anywhere if I could help it.

And I found the interaction is bit much vulgar in The Sims 2. Like when making out... Well, really something else.

It was much more cartoony and over the top in sims 2, first time I had a couple make out on the couch in sims 3 I thought "was that it?" it seemed so tame  ;D

I hadn't looked at sims 2 for a few years although for a time I was totally addicted to it, my niece still plays it though and I was looking at them not long ago, they were so much more animated, a lot of sims 3 animations come right out of sims 2 but they are slower somehow, when they talk in sims 2 they babble over each other none of this waiting to finish then standing about shuffling your feet for ages till somebody else speaks.

And dancing, they used the same anims in sims 3 and it looks all awkward and jerky but it just works with the sims 2 sims, I was very excited about having the smustle again when I got Supernatural until I saw one of my sims doing it, nothing like I remembered  :-\

I didn't play with the premade sims much, I did play Brandy Broke though, and had a sim marry Malcolm Landgrabb once, he had a very nice house from what I remember with an indoor pool and hot tub, two extremes of the financial scale there but both fun to play.

I got really sick of cutscenes in sims 2 - I'm glad sims 3 doesn't have them. I played a lot, and the cut scenes were always the same, and took too much time. Plus I couldn't take good photos of those moments when in a cutscene.

I remember at one point into playing a family the cutscenes seemed to stop. But you would think that there is something in the options about turning them off. Because I do remember playing without them.

My favorite couple was Dustin Broke and Angela Pleasant. ;D

But I must be in the minority here, but I actually liked the cut scenes. They're great for youtube videos. I hope that they bring some of it back to Sims 4. I love Sims 3, but sometimes it's a bit too realistic for my taste.

I did love the scandals and stories in Pleasantview and Veronaville in sims 2 - it always made for interesting play times (who will marry who?). I didn't find sims from sims 3 as enticing.

I liked the way Sims 2 had town layouts that you could use to create your own town - much simpler than using Create-a-World, which I've never understood at all.  I had my own town, populated with my own characters and with all the buildings and houses I wanted.  It was the only place I ever played in Sims 2.

Oh, I totally agree! It's no wonder I find Sunset Valley so boring! Maybe it's the story progression, but there's no history behind any of the characters. Sims 2, everyone had a family tree.

I always had the impression that the TS2 sims were actually played up to the point of when you start the new game, the family tree, the memories and the little story with all the pictures showing them aging and things, of course Maxis could probably just create that but it felt like they had a life before you took over.

Sims 3 sims have their little bios which while some are intriguing you know they plopped straight out of create a sim into the house. One time when I was playing the Shallows I tried to get Kurt to complete his goldigger lifetime wish, it's an odd one as his wife is dead in the graveyard so surely he should have already done it, but truth is they have never met before and are total strangers, he has never even had his first kiss but somehow he has a son with her. All done in CAS no doubt.

Now if they were a sims 2 family I'd have expected him to have memories of her, her drowning accident, maybe a little picture story, a bit like Brandy and Skip but more evil  ;D
