Thanks! I'm the same with my houses.  I found a load of floor plans online but because I couldn't do a split level staircase I deleted the whole thing - just didn't look right!  I might swap some of my designs when I figure out how you do it!

I do that, floor plan websites!!

I'm sure if you search YouTube there will be a video that shows you how to do it! :)

I never thought of that. Think I'll need a Sims weekend soon!

I haven't had one in ages!  I work in a school so do have the odd Sims day in the summer break ;). Hubby is paintballing this weekend - perfect excuse!

Talking about Apartment Life, it reminded me of something I really miss: closets.  I don't know why the AL closets weren't included in the Sims 3 base game.  I think closets and the interior foundation/stage tool are two of the things I miss most.

The closets were very nice. I wondered why we couldn't have them in the TS3 base game. We had gardening, tinkering and other TS2 EP skills added, so why not closets?

I miss the whole interacting at the dinner table. Maybe TS3 could bring them back, for all Sims, but have them favored mostly toward childish, inappropriate, evil, mean spirited and rebellious Sims.

This is a little off-topic, but you can make a pretty decent closet in The Sims 3 with the Late Night wardrobe and the Alt key.

Anyway, one thing I miss about the first two Sims games is the awesome Maxis writers. The family biographies and career chance cards were always so cleverly written and well thought out. It added a lot of charm to the series for me.

I loved those chance cards! I wish there were more witty ones in Sims 3. It seemed like there was a set of chances for each stage of every career, and no matter what you picked, it was pretty humorous!

I also really miss the plant sims. I hope they make a comeback. However, the thing I miss most is the magic from the original sims. I loved the duels and crafting the little sparkly charms (I think?), especially the one that made money bags appear everywhere. I used to always get pet dragons for my families too until I realized they could run away. ::)

I loved Maxis taking full part in the game. I hear they are coming back though, and taking part in the KPST. I think the default town, Pleasantview was more interesting that SV. I loved the biographies. I miss being able to paint my own custom paintings. In fact, I will go back and play TS2 every now and then, and Darren Dreamer always paints Polanco in my games.

I miss my favorite couple Dustin Broke and Angela Pleasant. I miss breaking Jacob Martin and that gawd-awful Sandra Roth (I hated her with a purple Passion along with Mary Sue Pleasant!), and getting Jacob and Jules back together.

I miss the Pleasant Family (why couldn't there be a younger Jeff, Diane, Daniel and Jennifer in SV, RV, or later in the game?), the Burb Family, Darren Dreamer (he kind of reminds me of Rose from 2 1/2 Men), Brandi Broke, The Curious Brothers, Johnny Smith, Olive Spector, Cassandra Goth, Alexander Goth and his Golden Retriever, Sheenius.

Most importantly, I miss Goopy GilCarbo.

PS: I even invented a new couple in TS2 a while back. ;)

Oooh, my favorite people to play were the Dreamers and the Pleasants and Olive too! If I'm not mistaken, weren't the Pleasants descendants of Bob and Betty Newbie from the original Sims? If so, they already featured Bob and Betty in Riverview.

Nope. That's the Broke Family. Skip is a child, but Bob and Betty are teens, which makes no sense. Bob and Betty had Brandi, who married Skip Broke (he died because someone removed the pool ladder, remember? LOL), and they had Dustin and Beau, and she is pregnant, at the start of the game, (I named the baby Bentley), the same way Claire Ursine, Jenni Jones-Brown, Juanita Blanco and Imogen Pelly are.

Oh, and Kaylynn was the maid.

They have Bob, Betty, Skip, and Don Lothario in Riverview.

Well I'm really disappointed - searched all over for TS2 AL and can't find it :(. I have a feeling hubby has tucked it away in the attic and I'm not going up there on my own!  Ah well, back to Showtime it is...

Awww such a shame! I still have mine there, I could teleport it to you some how. Maybe with testingcheats enabled I could teleport!
