My sims can't remarry!

So my female and male sim were married with two children when my female died from starvation. I didn't mean to starve her, I was going to feed her when she woke up but anyways, she died. I used the genie lamp from the Showtime EP and chose to ressurect her. All was fine until I realized her and her partner were only engaged and no longer married.

At that time I tried everything to get them to remarry but nothing worked. I then decided to break them up and start from scratch. That didn't work either even though their relationship bars are maxed out I don't have the option to propose marriage. They are currently boyfriend and girlfriend, living together with their two children and and a new baby.

I was wondering if there is any cheat/mod or really anything I can do to marry them again. I guess I can live with the fact they are boyfriend and girlfriend but I would like for them to  be committed to each other again.

I've had that problem, just break them up and do romantic socials again, they'll be able to get married again.

I had a Sim brought back to life by a cat in the family and after weeks of romantic socials, I was never able to get them to remarry before they both passed on.

I think its just general logic -so to speak- I mean if your wife died and then came back to life a few days later, you wouldn't be married, and I doubt they would get re-married.

I had the same problem in a saga I was doing.  I brought Agnes back through Ambrosia and they could not get married for the longest time, then all of a sudden the option was there.  Kind of weird, but they finally got hitched again.

I probably should have just kept them engaged. Starting the romance over just kept them boyfriend and girlfriend. I thank y'all for the input. Even though it didn't really help, I still appreciate you guys.

I guess there is not really any remedy for them not being able to get married again.  It has only happened to me a couple of times, where I got them remarried, but other than that, must be just part of the game.

The cat resurrected them? I know cats can control our lives (mine certainly does), but that's insane...

Yeah, that happened to me once.  For some reason to me, the ghosts seem to be a little bit touchy about marriage.  Even after their married.  I decided to kill off the husband again, and whenever he came back up, he was still married to her, but wouldn't even let her do an amouruos hug.
