Will she cope?
« on: April 13, 2012, 05:57:57 AM »
Hi,

I have Sims 3 Pets for the Playstation 3 and it's so good! I made a girl (Amy) who lived next door to Marcel Gattus (the townie). She married him and he and his dog Austin moved in with her. The Slade famil moved into Marcel's empty house.

The Slade family originally consisted of Daemon Slade and his wife and lover, Melanie. Then, they had three children together (all I know is I randomly saw Melanie giving birth three times and Amy, her best friend, always took her to the hospital).

I invited Daemon over, made a room around him and he starved to death in my house. Melanie was heart broken and Amy kept inviting her over and cheering her up. I get my sim to regularly visit her home and repair/ clean anything - I found her stinking with a broken bath! Her two toddlers and one baby are continually crying but she never does anything for them. Amy does!!

Amy, despite having a husband, old dog (Austin) and two babies herself, has to continually visit Melanie! I bother because it's such a fun challenge, looking after her  :). If Melanie's children ever got really hungry, would the social services take all her children away? Or would the game just keep them fine?

Thanks!

Welcome to our Forum, Gingermouse.

I edited the subject of this thread because it sounded just a bit demanding.  I assure you that someone will answer if they can help.  :)

As for Melanie, she will be fine.  Your Sim is under no obligation to take care of her and you probably wouldn't even know there were problems if you didn't have Amy visit her house.  The death moodlet lasts about three days and after that, Melanie should stop having the terribly low moods.  Social Services doesn't come for children that aren't under your control.  The game manages them.

Note:  I play the PC version of the game, but I believe these issues would be the same.  If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.
