Painting Mosaic

My sims gained painting skill of level 10. However, all her painting of memorized scene like mosaic.
Anyway to avoid this? Please help. I really don't like the painting like mosaic.

Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...

Insane also affects the painting style but I don't think it's mosaic-style. Genius tends to make it dotty, does she have genius?
