Thanks for the kind comments.  I quite like the campground style of lot.  The only drawback is, when other sims come to visit, they tend to wander around the lot instead of going to the (nonexistent) front door.  Swede, fortunately there is no "seasons" yet for Sims 3 - obviously, I'm hoping they won't bring that back in a big hurry.  Rain is one thing, but imagine the campground with all those thunderstorms!  No thanks.

The telescope, record player and easel all came from the store.  I haven't bought much there, but just had to have those items.  I didn't realize the telescope was part of a collection - I found it under Home Decor - Entertainment - Hobbies & skills, and purchased it individually.

I'm sure you prefer rain and thunderstorms over earthquakes and meteorite strikes. ;) Haha, I'm sure you know what I am talking about. :D

A long long time ago, back in the first Sims game, I had a group of fairies that lived together in the forest.  Of course it was outside, and I used hedges to create separate spaces for different rooms with rock pathways leading to different areas and a "living room" courtyard of sorts with columns around it.  The only room that was an actual building was the bathroom.

In Sims 3 terms they would have all been technophobes, because their only form of entertainment was painting, chess, and the dollhouse.  Back then you didn't have to be childish to play with the dollhouse.  ;D

That reminds me of a day I was watching my sister playing The Sims. The child came home from school, but couldn't play in her room because her father (who had kind of a mayor function, I thought) was playing with her dollhouse in tuxedo. I was laughing out loud. :D
