all I care is that their not just making it up
Making it up? No. Is it, strictly speaking, accurate? Maybe, maybe not. At this point, all that can be done is to speculate about it. We won't get any kind of confirmation until it's close to being released. They likewise inadvertently released sliders for ear points and nose flattening for what is assumed to be this upcoming expansion with one of the super patches. Don't bother looking for it: it's long gone. The only thing we know so far is that the patch introduced new effects with the Fog Emitter, and the code names suggest that they're somehow related to expansion pack 7.
There is a theory floating around (which I believe myself) that all of these leaks are, in fact,
not accidental. Think about it for a second: something "accidentally" gets leaked, and then there's this
huge effort to cover it up, which only makes people want to talk about it
more. That's exactly what happened with Pets. This shoddy trailer (which was of such poor quality that even
I thought it was a hoax) was leaked on an official looking YouTube channel, then after a few hours it was immediately pulled off and EA acts like it never happened...even though millions of people had already seen it. You couldn't go to any Sims related site and
not see some buzz about it. We even had one here, before it was locked (we don't allow such discussions without an official confirmation). And it's not the first time this has happened.
Reverse psychology viral marketing. If it
is intentional, it's one of the most brilliant marketing strategies I've ever heard of.
