Has anyone had THIS issue occur without any Story Progression mods?

And for the fruit thing..I eat before conception, before discovery, and during the three days. Doesn't work 100% of the time, but it's helpful.

I tend to have loud opinions. So sorry. I got tons of issues, lol. I can also be found on Yahoo! Answers.

I've always eaten the fruit before the spin and this is the first time it's ever failed me. Also worth noting, Pam's tried and true method of getting twins also failed this time and that has never happened before either. Possible glitch?

What tried and true method of mine failed?

The one illustrated in the mixed gender twins thread.

While it's unclear as to whether or not it's a glitch, I believe the process was changed in a recent patch and appears to no longer apply.

Nope it still works, I'm all patched up and my Sims just gave birth to mixed gender twins, using the fruit and Doctor trick.  So I can assure you that Pam's method does indeed still work, well for me anyway. :P

The one stated in the guide about having the mother read pregnancy books, watch KidZ Zone TV and listen to children's music increasing your chance for multiples. It worked for getting the Doll triplets but doesn't seem to work since Showtime.

Oh my mistake.  It increases your chances, not guarantee...but you should at least get twins.  ???

I thought the method of Pam's we were talking about was how to get her mixed gender twins tip, by eating the correct fruit then going to the Doctor, that is what I was referring to before, I did that recently and it worked

Really?! You are kidding right?! Excuse me for a minute while I pick myself up of the floor from when I keeled over in disbelief just now.  :o

Let me tell you right now, it DOES work since Showtime, I guarantee it. While I don't have Showtime (Yet) I do have the latest patch, I have been playing several games since then and all of them them had mutiple births. I used fertility treatment, pregnancy books and Kids T.V and Kids Music in some case, I got two sets of triplets and three sets of twins, not in that order.  :P

I find it really hard to believe that EA would take away these features, I'd like to hear if anyone who has got Showtime, has been successful with multiple births since then because now I'm curious.  ???

Okay for some reason my whole post got quoted, I can't seem to fix that (I tried), sorry Mods.

Nothing has changed about listening to Kids Music and Wathcing Kids TV. It does not give you even 100% chance to get twins, however.

Default chance of having twins is 2.5%, and default chance of triplets is .1%.
  • Multiplier added to base per hour of kid entertainment (tv or stereo): 2
  • Multiplier added to base per hour of kid entertainment (tv and stereo together): 5
  • Maximum multiplier used when determing the chance of multiple babies: 30
    • This does not include Fertility Treatment or Wish for a Large Family when making a wish with the Showtime Genie.

Reading Pregnancy books (both Mom & Dad) only increases the Pregnancy Average Mood, which helps you to be able to give your nooboo all traits when it's born.

I thought so too, originally.  However, the person who mentioned that clarified.

It was never a 100% guarantee of multiple births.  It just increased your chances.  The more you follow this method throughout the pregnancy, the more significant the chance.  Keep in mind that while you're almost guaranteed success with a 99% chance, this still affords a 1% chance of failure.

Okay for some reason my whole post got quoted, I can't seem to fix that (I tried), sorry Mods.

I managed to fix it for you.  ;)
