What happens to your career if you don't go to a gig?

Can you get rid of permanent gigs?  I have a gig like every night and my Sim doesn't have a life because of it.  Some aren't worth doing as the venues are really small, with maybe only one person in the audience.  I'd rather be able to choose which gigs she does now that she is legendary.  It also interferes with her ability to Simport.

Once Chaffinch reached the top of her career I just stopped going to gigs obviously the little work Metric doesn't go up any more but she is already at level ten so I don't care. She never gets any pop ups about not going so all is good.I would let her retire but she earns more money with her weekly stipend then she would if she retired.

Thanks, Ratchie.  That will make life so much easier.  I'm actually thinking of turning the girls into a story.  They seem to work so well together, although the romantic interests have been a major bust!
