Not receiving wedding gifts

A friend on another site reports the same bug.  She is not using any mods either.

The wedding gift bug occurred in my game when it was patched on 1.31 but Showtime wasn't installed. And there was no mod either. So it looks rather like a patch bug and the 1.32 didn't address this issue (yet). Let's hope that the next one will fix it because it's rather annoying. Without sounding materialistic, those gifts were certainly a nice source of income for Sims starting in their life.

The couple who I most recently married did not get any wedding gifts. The option to write thank-you notes was there. At the time of the marraige I had installed patch 1.31 but had not yet installed showtime. Also in this family, their baby got an IF doll in the mail, but it disappeared from the baby's crib a few hours later and never returned.

I hope they fix this, it's the only reason I have public weddings to get the wedding gifts.

When it's working again you won't need to bother with that if you don't want to. I almost always go for the private wedding and they still get wedding gifts from any friends they have.

Just FYI you do not need to have a public wedding to get gifts.  Any friends you both have will send them along with any pets you know lol.

I have not been getting gift for my married sims either even though they want thank you notes lol.

I don't have Showtime, and I have this glitch.  So it's a patch.  Wish they would fix it.  Like soon.  Real soon.
