Genie - Wishing for love

Has anybody tried this?

I just had my sim wish for another sim who was her enemy to fall in love with her, but afterwards the only romantic options available were - going steady -> get engaged -> get married. 

Once they were married there were no romantic options at all, they couldn't even cuddle on the bed .

I'm wondering if it was because the other sim was her enemy, so hopefully someone else has tried this out.

I've tested this now against another sim and it worked fine, so looks like I just have a bugged sim.  Going back to an old save now, I guess my acrobat won't be marrying her intended after all .

That's too bad. I hope you can get it fixed soon.
I've not tried this new Genie guy yet, but I am guessing it could not work as well because the wish only works temporarly? As I've said, I'm not sure, but if this is an issue, it could be that.

I wished for love to, and their romantic interests, but I clicked the shower and the WooHoo option was out. When I put my mouse over it, it said need a potential lover on the lot, but both Sims where on the lot. I guess I'll have to use romantic socials on them, to see if it's a glitch.

Oh you have to try the genie. I've freed two of them now and one just had twins with my Sim. Even after you free them they can still do a limited amount of genie magic. When they go from place to place it's almost like a moving hover. Pretty neat.

Yeah, I have one now. I will try it out later, to add him to the household, get married and all that stuff. Am curious to how things will turn out. Too bad there still don't seem to be any crossbreeding between occult sims.
I guess EA will leave that for another expansion. Perhaps magic/Frankenstein related.
Crossbreeding as a job or LTW, haha!

When you free them they have the different color needs bar like vamps. My genie just had twins, a boy and a girl. The girl has the blue genie skin tone and the boy has a regular skin tone like his Mom but they both have the bluish needs bars. I think this will be interesting as they grow up.

Just a quick update on my initial problem, I cleared out all my cache files, restarted the game and the bugged sim was no longer bugged!  Goes off to bang head against a wall. 

I really should have tried that at the start - clearing the caches files that is, not the head banging - though perhaps that would have helped too!

Yeah, clearing up sims stuff often seems to help. Not always, but often. Have fun with your unbugged simmie.
