Not sure if it is a glitch in my programme but I made a Lime/Plum batch of nectar and they are all worth around 25k - 30k each.

When made they were around 12k but have matured in the cellar to their present value of around 30k.

You mean the EACH of the bottles worth 25-30k?! What's the recipe?

are you positive of the initial value of these bottles of nectar?
Yep as it blew me away at the time.

What are the exact circumstances of their creation?  Did you make them with the nectar maker or was it transfigurication?
Made with nectar maker (I don't know how to transfigurise thingamy things yet). I think it was set to extended nectaration and might have been upgraded to Improved Pressing. I'l go back to that Sim and play around/ I'll also try to upload a screen shot. Sorry if I'm not more certain of the facts - this was when I was just fooling around with my sims and it never occured to me to take notes etc!

It might be that the game was buggy as I bought some of the businesses for 200 simoleans rather than 2000 but I'll go and do some testing and get back to you.

How about the recipe, AbyShep?  If you still have a bottle of that nectar, you can get the recipe from it.  I'm not aware of anyone who has gotten such an extremely high value for nectar made with a nectar maker.  We're sort of on the edges of our seats, wondering if you've made a breakthrough on recipe values.  But...  ummm...  no pressure, of course!  ;D

Well the recipe was one that I got off this forum - that's how I found you!

Believe me I am excited too about this and can't wait to get home and practive a bit more. Unfortunately my boss seems to think that as I'm paid to be at my desk till 5pm that I should be at my desk until 5. (Does she not know that I have imporant Sim things to be getting on with).

Rest assured I will investigate and report back as soon as possible!

Right I've done some testing and still not worked out pictures so you'll have to wait for that but, I am more convinced this was a bug.

Yes the Nectar is worth 30,000 Simoleans and was made in a nectar maker. It's 90% Plum 10% Lime if you want to try it, and comes out as amazing. However when my sim made it last night it was outstanding quality and worth 107 simoleans out of the maker. This was the same sim that made the expensive bottle.  I had another sim try it and he was only Nectar making L7 and it was around 58 simoleans a bottle when made.

Sorry it's not more ground breaking than that but at least I have several bottles of nectar for her to play with.

It's still interesting Abyshep.

The first thing that came into my mind after your post was if there's a possibility of one load of nectar becoming way more valuable than normal, maybe as in real life if one harvest year gets so perfect that the wine gets extremely expensive and exquisite. I've not had enough experience with the nectar maker to test my theory. It may just be as simple as a glitch, but even one time like this is still enough to raise my eyebrow! ;D

Even more than that.

48,000 simoleans at the moment. This nectar has been lying in in the cellar for ages. (7 generations in my non-Pinstar legacy). But I believe the worth of one bottle can reach 100,000 simoleans. (transmorphing)

Are you really sure the Life Fruit Pomegranate nectar is the most valuable? Because I have a bottle which is worth $2626,- at week 16 while a bottle of Life Fruit Flame Fruit is worth $2787 at week 15. And they both have the same quality.

Considering we're stuck at a max value for the Life Fruit Pomegranate Nectar we all know is the best, it's just going to be whoever plays the game the longest with that bottle in a basement rack. $48,000 Simoleons does impress me though! Good grief that's a lot of aging.

Yes, we're quite sure. With all factors in constant (skill challenges complete, machine upgrade, style of making nectar, hygienne), when compared, Life Fruit Pomegranate 90% Life Fruit 10% Pomegranate turns out to be the highest in price.

Because I have a bottle which is worth $2626,- at week 16 while a bottle of Life Fruit Flame Fruit is woth $2787 at weak 15. And they both have the same quality.

Leto, I'm sure you got the wrong idea of what 'Week - 15' and 'Week - 16' stands for. Following your Sim's calendar (underneath your time you'll see how many weeks you have been playing Sims), your nectar will have Week - XX when you make it. So from what you have said, your Life Fruit Flame Fruit Nectar was made on Week 15 and a week before the other bottle.

But you're welcome to share the recipe for that nectar. Maybe it really is a breakthrough recipe you have.

Leto,

Would you mind putting the quote portion of your posts at the top instead of the bottom?  Everyone is used to seeing the quote first, then the response, and I'd like to keep things consistent.  Thanks!

Sure I will, but I doubt you don't know this one already: it is 60% lifefruit, 30% flamefruit and 10% cherimola grapes. But that recipe is already known on this site. I like this one because it provides your sim with all the mootlets in one cup that gives you a total moodlet count of, I believe, 110 or so.

Mostly I make just three different types of nectar: the one above that my Sims drink on vacation lots and sometimes at home when I want the elders to stay around the living Sims for a few days more. I keep the Life Fruit Pomegranate for the increase of value and I also have some Flamefruit Cherry nectar for when my Sims needs to get happy without getting younger.

Now that I think of it: I believe that a 60% lifefruit, 30% flamefruit and 10% cherry will be even more valuable than my above described recipe because I thought that cherries are more worth than cherimola grapes. But I haven't tested it yet.

Thanks for the week explanation, by the way. That makes a lot more sense to me now. Of course, the older the bottle, the more valuable it gets, but compared to the really huge bottle, I've just compared the wrong two.
