Question about life wish?

I have a sim who has the family ordained life goal as his life wish. He has to watch five kids grow up from babies to teens.

Now, I got the baby part down, but, whenever I look over to his life wish, I get a 0/5.

yet, he has four children. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Are the kids teens yet?  If they are, then not sure what the problem is.  I have done that one a number of times with no problem.  Not sure if they have to have turned from teen to young adult for it to count.  Been a while since I have done it.

Well, I need one more baby to be five. I have four already.

Here is another question. Does that mean I can't age up kids via birthday cake?

Because the first child they had was aged up like that. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

It's called Surrounded by Family.  The children will only count toward the lifetime wish when they age to Teen.  If the 4 children aren't Teens yet, that's why they aren't counting.  You should be able to use the cake, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has to be done on the actual birthday.

If you age them up by the cheat, it does count, or it use to anyway.  I really like that LTW.

My decadynasty spouse had that LTW and, as Pam said, it only counted when all five children had reached teen.  It was the first time I ever completed it and I have to say it was a lot of fun.  I had a set of triplets followed by twins a few sim days later, so it was pretty intense.  I highly recommend the baby swing from the TS3 store to help with the nooboo and toddler stages.  Also, be sure to have as many bathrooms as possible to help with getting all the kids ready for school on time.  Good luck!
