I apologize if this is not the right place for this thread/question. I did some searches on this site and in general and found nothing.
I made a new, evil sim for one of the badges. When he got promoted the first time he went from Level 1 Decoy to Level 3 Thug skipping Level 2 Cutpurse altogether.
Has anyone had this happen or am I perhaps missing something? I thought it might be a bug, since I know the Criminal career can be exceptionally buggy...but since he is going for Emperor of Evil and has the Evil trait could it be some sort of boon? He does not have Klepto. I have never tried this LTW before, only had a criminal who became a master thief and quit return to work and choose the Evil path the second time around, and he started off level 6 or so.
I don't really mind this happened, it just took me by surprise.
