Patch help? [MAC] - edited w/new info
« on: February 12, 2012, 06:21:59 PM »
Okay, I'm running a Mac PowerBook 15" from April 2010 (Intel), with Snow Leopard, all the expansions and no stuff packs. I took out all mods and downloaded custom content before trying this.  I've had some of the funny graphics glitches that some people have had with laptops, but this is the first real technical problem.

I get through the latest patch up to a certain point. Then I get some error message and a "reinstall" message. No clues on how specific that is. I opened the log to see if that will help anyone - these, which were marked in red in the file, were the issues.

Can anyone help me? Do I really have reinstall everything?

Thank you!!

ETA:

 Following the advice in another thread, I reset to factory settings. Still got an error, but the cause is different:

Examining File : /Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/Packs/TS3EP05/paul.dll  -> SHA1 Error
Examining File : /Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/Packs/TS3EP05/TS3EP05.exe  -> SHA1 Error

Looking at this, is there a way to just reinstall EP05 (Pets)? Cause that seems to be where the error is...
